Whether you're looking for a night out on the town this weekend, or prefer a more laid-back experience, we have this week's highlights from Lancaster County's entertainment scene, plus what has me excited in the world of entertainment this week. Here's what I'm loving. "Late Night with the Devil" star David Dastmalchian shines in his role as a fictional late-night talk host. (Photo by Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP). 'Late Night with the Devil' I love horror movies, especially ones that take the limits of the genre and expand upon them in a clever way. "Late Night with the Devil" is one of those special movies that you'll think about long after you leave the theater. The film is set on Halloween, 1977, on a late-night talk show. The lead, Jack Delroy (David Dastmalchian), is hosting a special about Halloween, mentioning the occult, Satanism and skeptics of all-things magic. Things go awry, however, when Jack notices that an unseen being might have a message for him. The movie is incredibly simple in its setting, relying on dialogue and found footage to progress the plot. The main focus is on the acting. I see a future scream queen in 18-year-old Ingrid Torelli. (Note: This movie may not be a good fit for you if you aren't OK with mentions of the occult, Satanism or demons.) Did we spot you? [66087b0cb4290 image] Our photographers are always out and about.
