It’s safe to say that last year was different to what anyone could have expected. But when I look back, the thing that sticks with me most is how proud I am of the team at Lakeland. Our wonderful colleagues worked exceptionally hard so that you could continue to shop safely with us, whether you were visiting one of our stores or having your goodies carefully packed and sent from our Distribution Centre here in Cumbria. [Lakeland] These have been testing times, and 2020 saw many changes to the way we do things. Lots of our colleagues worked from home for the very first time, and we introduced new ways of working in every area so that we could keep our colleagues and customers safe. We’ve had to accept that some things this year have simply been out of our control, but whatever happens, it’s always our intention to put you first so that we can continue to provide the excellent service and support you expect from us. Many of us have been cooks, bakers and home-schooling parents over the last few months, and in a year when looking out for each other was more important than ever, we were delighted to share the journey with you.
