Several congregations said they received a threatening email earlier today. President of the Congregation Brith Sholem, Janite Ward, said they received the email at 10:30 this morning. The email said there was a bomb inside their Jewish center and other Jewish institutions in Utah. Rabbi Sam Spector said the email disrupted the congregation Kol Ami service as well and they called the police. Police evacuated both services while they looked for any threat. The known congregations currently evacuated are the Brith Sholem congregation in Ogden and Kol Ami in Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake City Police Department says two multiple locations received the threatening email and the investigation is ongoing.
