Stick with me. It's a metaphor. "Smells like money." That's what my uncles used to say about the… not pleasant… smell at the paper mill they worked at in Kaukauna. The smell might not have been great, but the paper mill meant a good livelihood that supported their families. I could say the same about raising money to run for office. It's not pleasant… but it's the work required to run a winning campaign. And a winning campaign is how the families of WI-08 get a champion in Congress. Now, raising that money always comes with a deadline. And with the primary behind us, it's crucial we continue to hit these fundraising goals on time. [Right now, we need to raise $50,000 from grassroots supporters to stay on track. Can you pitch in $10 to make sure we have the resources to win?]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately: [EXPRESS DONATE $10]( [EXPRESS DONATE $25]( [EXPRESS DONATE $50]( [EXPRESS DONATE $100]( [EXPRESS DONATE $250]( [EXPRESS DONATE OTHER]( The first time I ever ran for office (for the Wisconsin Assembly), my son was my campaign manager and the learning curve was STEEP to say the least. One of the biggest things I learned was that fundraising isn't about ME. It's actually about asking folks to invest in their own future — whether that's an 8th District with better and more accessible health care, quality schools for our kids, the freedom to control our own bodies, or good-paying jobs like my uncles' at the paper mill…. So I'm asking you to invest — not in a single candidate or campaign, but the future you believe in. [We can't afford to waste a single moment in this campaign — time is already running out. Make an investment today >>]( Smells like a winning campaign to me!
