This year’s theme is “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud” so we’re celebrating the importance of keeping the flames of Indigenous cultures alive (one of the oldest continuing cultures on the planet) for future generations. The collectable National NAIDOC Week poster is available until the 14th July from all Kmart stores.   [Find a store](     We’re also proud to be celebrating our brilliantly talented 'Deadly’ team members who created original artworks in celebration of National NAIDOC Week. This year's featured artist is Natalie McKeon   [ ]     “Blak, yes. Proud, absolutely! Loud, not so much. I think of myself as a quiet achiever and let my art speak for me. So, to reflect this year’s theme I decided to focus on the Keep the Fire Burning element. I was inspired by Fire hawks, Black Kites, Whistling Kites and Brown Falcons. These birds have been shown to pick up burning branches from bushfires to start new fires and flush out their prey. They use fire as a tool for survival, as did our ancestors, who would burn Country for hunting, but also as a way of renewing bush tucker plants and preventing wildfires that were far more damaging. I think it reflects the need for us to keep our culture and traditional knowledge alive and to spread it to new generations, both within our own and non-indigenous peoples. Also, to ignite a passion for sharing our stories and to rejuvenate hope in building stronger communities together.”   [Learn more](   [Downloaded the Kmart App and shop anytime, anywhere.](   [shop online]( | [view catalogue]( | [find a store]( | [privacy policy]( [Facebook]( [Instagram]( [YouTube]( [TikTok]( [( To unsubscribe from our kmail please [click here](.
