Friend, I am proud to be pro-choice. In 2023, that shouldn't be a controversial statement. I was only 6 years old when Roe v. Wade was first decided. I grew up, entered adulthood, fell in love, married and had two beautiful boys in a world where women's reproductive rights were always protected — where I had the choice to live whatever kind of life I wanted. But today, a minority of right-wing extremists have taken that right to choose — the right to determine our own future — away from millions of Americans. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Banning interstate travel to receive reproductive health care, making abortions a felony, attacking the right to birth control — every day, some extremist Republican legislator is finding a new way to control our bodies and limit our reproductive rights. This is the biggest fight of our generation, friend. We must fight tooth and nail until the right to choose is restored in all 50 states across our country. [That's why, today, I'm asking you to stand with me in this fight for the future of our country and speak up in support of reproductive rights: Please will you add your name today?]( [Sign On: I Am Pro-Choice]( We can't doom the next generation to a country where Americans do not have the right to choose their own futures, where patients and doctors alike are prosecuted as felons, where women have to risk their own health because of cruel laws drafted by out-of-touch extremists. Thankfully, we're not alone in this fight. A majority of Americans support both legal abortion and legislation to restore reproductive rights nationwide. We see it in poll after poll — and we witnessed it firsthand during the 2022 midterms. Abortion was on the ballot last year, and Americans across the country, from Kansas to Michigan, rejected this extremist, dangerous agenda. And I believe that we will do it again in 2024, and again and again until every American once again has the right to choose. But this starts with making sure that our voices are louder than the minority of extremists. And to do that, we can't be quiet or shaky about our support for reproductive rights. We have to proclaim it proudly and fight for it. [That's why I'm asking 20,000 members of my team to join me before my midnight deadline tonight. Please, will you sign on now?]( [Sign On: I Am Pro-Choice]( Despite the difficult challenges and setbacks we've faced this past year, I remain resolute and hopeful that we will emerge from this fight victorious. Thanks for standing with me today. With love and hope, Kirsten --------------------------------------------------------------- [Join Kirsten in the Fight to Defend the Senate. Donate Now. Text NY to 60708]( A note from Kirsten: Friend, I can’t thank you enough for standing by my side in the critical fights ahead of us. As Democrats face our toughest Senate map in decades, I need your help more than ever. While Republicans only have to defend 10 seats in 2024, Democrats have to defend 23 – and if the GOP flips just two of them, it will deliver Senate control back to Mitch McConnell. Now, Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight is saying that the GOP has a clear path to the majority. As right-wing special interests gear up to pour millions into flipping the Senate, we need to fight back right now. But I refuse to take a single cent from corporate PACs, which means I’m relying on your grassroots support. [So please, chip in to help defend our narrow Democratic Senate majority.]( And if you’d like to become a core member of my team and receive exclusive texts from my campaign, [text JOIN to 60708.]( Thank you, Kirsten Gillibrand This email was sent to {EMAIL}.
