My opponent on IVF

Robert, Last week, the Alabama Supreme Court handed down a terrifying decision on abortion rights. The court ruled that frozen embryos are human beings, and people who destroy them can be held liable for wrongful death. It’s another example of Republican judges making archaic rulings that attack reproductive freedom. Amongst other things, this decision could have awful consequences for couples who have used or want to use in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Women are punished for terminating pregnancies they don’t want — and banned from pursuing pregnancies they do want. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, rulings like this have come in at dizzying and horrifying speed. Every extremist Republican who cheered the overturning of Roe is responsible for this — including my opponent. Juan Ciscomani claimed on Twitter that he disagrees with the Alabama decision. But his voting record has clearly and consistently demonstrated a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of women across our state. We can’t let him run away from his anti-choice record. I will fight nonstop to protect productive freedom at home and across the country.
