Robert, At the end of March, Kirsten stopped by the Sierra Vista Herald office for a Q&A with their editorial team. It was a great conversation, and they talked about everything from reproductive rights to the border to how this year’s race is different from 2022. [If you want to check it out, you can read it here >>]( Here are a couple of highlights from the article: On representing rural communities: “One of the biggest divides that we really need to bridge is the rural/urban divide. That's something that I experienced in the legislature and there are so many issues that I think I am the strongest candidate to speak to the people in rural areas such as water, such as making sure we've got rural broadband in all parts of this district, such as health care.” On reproductive rights: “This is an issue that women should be able to make for themselves; [...] And what we're seeing is politics getting in the middle of it. Juan Ciscomani has been voting with the Republicans for national abortion restrictions. And this is not what people want or deserve.” On the border: “We saw a bipartisan border security immigration reform bill that could have been passed that would make significant strides in terms of border security, in terms of bringing in the resources to process the surge in migrants to deal with the humanitarian issues and the security issues. Let's remember, this was a bill that was labeled by The Wall Street Journal as the most restrictive immigration bill to be proposed in decades. And we also know that the Border Patrol Union endorsed this bill, and what do the Republicans do? What does Juan Ciscomani do? Trump says he wants to keep the border a crisis, and they walk away from this bill. That's just that's the dysfunction.” Kirsten is the voice we need fighting for Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District in Congress.
