Robert, On Tuesday, the Arizona Supreme Court reinstated a Civil War-era abortion ban. This law is beyond inhumane. It criminalizes doctors and doesn’t make any exceptions in cases of rape or incest. It’s a complete violation of a woman’s most fundamental rights. Winning this November just became even more critical. If elected, Kirsten will fight nonstop in Congress to pass nationwide protections for reproductive rights. [You can help her flip this ultra-competitive seat blue by chipping in here >>]( We’ll be working until November to flip this seat — but there are elected officials in Arizona now who can and should be acting to stop this archaic ban. Our opponent, who cheered the overturning of Roe v. Wade and paved the way for this decision, is now trying to act shocked by the ban. Ciscomani released a statement calling on Arizona legislators to “fix this” — but has done absolutely nothing to protect Arizonans’ abortion rights himself. This should come as a surprise to no one, given that he has voted to restrict reproductive freedom across the country multiple times in Congress. Democrats in the Arizona Legislature tried to repeal the 1864 ban this week — but the Republican leadership cut them off and adjourned for the week. The cowardly behavior and inaction of GOP leaders is a disgrace to every Arizona woman. [Juan Ciscomani and Arizona Republicans like him are failing us. She’s ready to take that fight to Washington to find common-sense solutions to the challenges we’re facing here in Arizona's Sixth Congressional District. In 2022, Kirsten lost her race by one of the smallest margins in the country.
