Only 32 cases of in-school transmission between students were found, out of 90,000 K-12 students in North Carolina who were present for nine weeks of in-person instruction, and zero cases of transmission from students to staff. These schools followed standard precautionary measures including social distancing, facemasks, making sure kids only mixed with members of their own classroom or cohort, and contact tracing of those who became ill. The studies also noted what not to do: Two Florida high school wrestling matches became superspreader events, as 38 out of 130 participants tested positive for infection afterwards, and then spread it to 39 other people who were not involved. --------------------------------------------------------------- SPONSORED CONTENT FROM SMARTASSET [7 Secrets Comfortable Retirees Know About Financial Advisors]( Choosing the right financial advisor can determine your financial trajectory for years to come.
