This week, Amanda and I went to a pumpkin patch where I shot apples out of cannon! Yes, really. Have a look: So you could say I've got a bit of Halloween spirt this season. Or you might say that you're reading emails from baddest apple slingin' copywriter in the west 😂. Up to you, really. But before I go eat enough candy to contemplate my own existence in the universe, I wanted to share a quick James Clear-inspired 3, 2, 1 round up of: - 🤓 3 student wins I can't stop smiling about - 📰 2 funny tweets about copy and cold email (you might have missed) - 💬 And 1 big update on a thing you told me you wanted Let's dive in! 3 student wins I can't stop smiling about I. Mitch H. banks $7.5k in 24 days 🥳 using my ol' loom-a-day strategy! I absolutely LOVE this story and seeing Mitch make progress before my eyes. Because earlier this month, he shot me an email a few days before his 20th birthday. He said he'd had enough with his 9-5 job and put in his notice that day. (Note: I do not advise most people to quit their jobs cold turkey like this... although that IS how I got my start, too. So do with that what you will). He told me he was *determined* to get his email business off the ground. And so I was honest with him about what it would take and laid out "the path" to success. He never once backed down. And now his hard work is paying off in a BIG WAY. 24 days in and he's banked $7.5k. And now he's gonna have to cool it or we might have to get a crown for the new Cold Email Prince 😛 But seriously, proud of you, Mitch. You put in the work. You deserve every bit of it. II. Khiem N. goes from lost ... to FINALLY connecting the dots with ecom emails This email from my new student, Khiem N., made me so happy. Not only because of that epic baby dancing gif. Or that he scooped up 3 of my courses at once. (Although that will get you some bonus points 😉 ) But because he was feeling lost about all the nuances of writing and building emails for ecom brands. And then, he found me and my email brother from another mother, Chase Dimond's, courses and everything started to "click." Knowledge breakthroughs like this are so underrated. Because so many times we get stuck trying to put pieces of "the puzzle" together all by ourselves. And nothing we're doing makes much sense. We don't know how... Or why things are a certain way... We just know that they are. And we need help understanding what the heck is going on. That's one of the reasons why I try to go much deeper in my courses into the psychology and reasons why behind certain practices exist. Because if you can understand the reasons why things are done a certain way, everything else is just tactics. And tactics are the easy part. So congrats, Khiem, it's only onward and upward from here! III. Hammad R. lands an EPIC retainer client, writing some of the most fun, personality driven copy I've seen You guys don’t get to see much of this ... Because it’s part of a private coaching program I'm in. But I just wanted to give a big shout out to Hammad R. for landing an epic retainer client. He did it by writing some of the most fun, personality driven copy I've seen. Seriously, I knew the client was going to have to love working with him because it read exactly like emails they would write. And any time you can nail a client's voice that well, they almost have to say yes to working with you or they would be saying no to themselves! That to say, great work man! (Oh and if you need help with nailing a clients voice and style, [here's a quick thread]( with some of my best tips on being able to create a sample in your client's voice & style FAST) 2 funny tweets about copy and cold email (you might have missed) I. How normal people go to a website vs how us marketers do 😂 Oh and that just skims the surface of the hacks! Folks in my [Klaviyo course]( know all the secret flows to "enter" (and how long to wait) to get the TRULY best deals. Don't we 😂 ? II. I just added a new email to my "worst of all time" pile and it's ... um... really bad. That deadline kills me every time. And speaking of cold email... That brings me to my last update: 1 BIG update on a thing you told me you wanted I'm 286 slides into my upcoming cold email course, The Great Equalizer 😮. And if all goes as planned, I should be able to get in the studio next week to record everything 😮😮😮. I've pushed myself to explore concepts on a level that I have never done before. And I'll just say it now: this course has a whole different vibe to it. If you're not on the waitlist, you're definitely going to want to make sure you [jump on it soon](. Way too much cool stuff planned to miss out on this. Anyway, enjoy your Halloween weekend, Rob "the baddest apple slingin' copywriter in the west" Allen Want to invest in your copywriting education?
