Yesterday, I got a fascinating question from a reader about battling procrastination and self-doubt.

Yesterday, I got a fascinating question from a reader about battling procrastination and self-doubt. See if you've ever felt the same way. The message read*: "Hey Rob, I'd love your thoughts on this. How did you break free from the demons in your head as a copywriter? I've been in this industry for a few years now. And while time is on my side, I feel I've been at this 'online marketing' game for such a long time... ... that I feel I should have 'figured' it out sooner. Despite having the knowledge, skill, time, and resources to do everything I need, I have this tendency of shooting myself in the foot. Whether it be self-doubt, wasting time on pointless activities, or guilt for not 'doing' the thing sooner. ... it's kinda hard to NOT feel guilt when you see others being in the industry for less time and have incredible results... What's your take?" First, I LOVE how honest this question is. It's easy to have emotions like this running through your veins and try to ignore them away. And in my experience, that only makes things worse. So acknowledging them is a big first step. Second, I think all of us have thoughts like this from time to time. That we're not enough. That we're moving too slow. That we should be further along. Including ME! Actually, no, especially me! Third, I have developed my own strategies for managing these "demons" through the years. And they've have helped me move forward in the face of doubts in a much better head space. But before I share them with you... I want to know your thoughts! Because: 1) I think it will be very empowering for each of us to see that we're not alone in having thoughts like this. 2) I think it would be EPIC to crowdsource strategies for managing demons and self-doubt from thousands of copywriters, agency owners, founders and freelancers from around the world. So...my question to you is: How do you handle your Demons? Do you have any strategies for boosting your mood and moving forward when self-doubt sets in? Do you have any specific routines that help you get back to the baseline? Do you read any books or watch any videos or some other activity to help get you back into an ideal state of mind? I WANT TO KNOW IT ALL. So here's how you can contribute to this crowd-sourced answer: [Click here and answer this one-question survey.]( NOTE: No need to worry about any of your personal details getting out there. If you want to talk about specific challenges you've faced and how you've over come them, your name will not be published. My goal with this is to make a really helpful, gigantic resource with all kinds of strategies for keeping these kinds of thoughts at bay and moving forward with power. So if you have any thoughts or tips, please take a minute to share what works for you [here](. Let's make an epic resource together! Rob "Survey says! ... No really, what does it say?" Allen P.S. Amanda will also be sharing her tips in upcoming email. And the faster we get some results in the faster we get it out. So do your thing! *Note: I don't normally edit these kinds of messages. But for this one, I removed some personal details for the person's privacy and edited it slightly for readability afterwards. Are we connected on Twitter?
