Sweet & savory recipes for every festive moment! [logo]( [hero]( Jessica Battilana Staff Editor Bakers, start your engines (er … ovens)! The holidays are fast approaching. We’ve got [cookies]( to make, and [pies]( to perfect. And this year, in addition to all those must-haves, we’re turning our attention to bread. Whether it’s a basket of [fluffy dinner rolls]( or a pan of [sweet buns]( lavished with cream cheese frosting, bread is what makes a meal memorable, and there are plenty of memorable meals coming in the weeks and months ahead. With that in mind we’ve just released [nine new bread recipes]( for almost every holiday situation. There’s a recipe for plush [black pepper-and-cheese rolls](, and another for a [nutty, golden, crusty hearth loaf]( that resembles a stalk of wheat: Either (or both!) would be perfect for Thanksgiving. There are tender, aromatic [flatbreads]( to tear apart at the table; impossibly buttery [maple-scented brioche twists]( that will make any morning feel special; a braided [sweet pistachio and cranberry wreath](; and sweet iced buns that marry [cinnamon rolls with gingerbread](. We created two (!) cheesy [pull-apart party breads]( that are begging for the chance to become the [appetizer of the season]( (see ya, French onion dip). There’s even a [potato-crusted focaccia]( that looks (and tastes!) just like a giant latke. What they all have in common is that they are breads to gather around, breads you can bake together and share with friends. They are breads that can anchor a meal, or a morning, or a moment, as we wind our way through these busy weeks on our way to a brand new year. Bake one, or bake them all: The season is long, and bread is forever.
