Pizza is a holiday — and leftovers — lifesaver. [1 day left for express shipping for Thanksgiving
Free shipping on orders over $99]( [logo]( Sunday Recipe Inspiration with David Batch 469 [Neapolitan-Style Pizza Crust]( We're T-minus four days until Thanksgiving, and I know where your mind is: it's on [pumpkin pie](, [apple pie](, [two-ingredient biscuits](, maybe [sourdough dinner rolls](. So don't mind me. I don't want to interrupt your reverie. But one gentle reminder: there's more than one dinner to plan this week, notably the dinners on the days before and after Thanksgiving. And for those dinners, there's no better choice than pizza. Yes, pizza. Pizza is easy! Pizza is make-ahead! Pizza can be a make-your-own situation on the day before Thanksgiving, and a beautiful vehicle for leftovers on the day after. A dough like our classic [Neapolitan]( makes it possible: Mix it (a 5-minute process) on Tuesday (or on Friday morning), let it rise for 12 to 24 hours, and portion it however you want. Feed a group with two large pies, or portion the dough into smaller pies that people can grab, top, and bake themselves. To make the whole process even easier, check out our [YouTube channel](. There, you'll find Martin Philip walking you through the [tricky act of shaping the dough]( (long story short: well-rested dough shapes better), and giving tips for getting your pizzas [in and out of the oven without peril](. If you're in a warm spot of the country and using your [Ooni oven]( this week, Martin has some tricks for that, too. (Also, I'm jealous — can I get an invite?) When it comes to toppings, this is a week to keep it simple. Go for cheese, tomatoes, and herbs ([here's an example]() on Wednesday, and pile it with leftovers on Friday. Roasted potatoes, braised greens, and baked carrots are all great on pizza, but the sleeper hit will be your cranberry sauce. Pair it with some pepperoni and it may rival those other Thanksgiving pies. Have a great holiday!
