A month-long investigation conducted in July analyzed patients with symptoms from 11 health care facilities in the U.S. and found that adults who tested positive for the virus had dined at indoor or outdoor restaurants two weeks before getting sick. The report says masks were the biggest discrepancy between patients who went to restaurants and tested positive and those who went to restaurants and tested negative. The CDC said restaurants can have added risks because masks can’t be worn to eat or drink and some restaurants have poor circulation that could affect the transmission of the virus, even if CDC guidelines are followed. TOP STORIES [Here you can get the latest information on the coronavirus, or COVID-19, in Nebraska and resources to be prepared and keep your family safe.]( [Coronavirus in Nebraska, Iowa: The latest headlines and resources to keep you informed »]( [Nebraska's application for the Lost Wages Assistance program has been approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.]( [Nebraska approved for program that will provide more money for some on unemployment »]( [Facing an “unprecedented drop” in freight traffic, Union Pacific President and CEO Lance Fritz announced Tuesday non-union workers will be required to take four weeks of unpaid leave, executives will face 25% pay cuts.]( [Union Pacific announces weeks of unpaid leave and pay cuts for employees, executives »]( [A new report by the CDC has linked COVID-19 cases to dining at restaurants.]( [If you caught COVID-19, you likely ate at a restaurant, CDC report finds »]( MORE STORIES [A new report by the CDC has linked COVID-19 cases to dining at restaurants.]( [If you caught COVID-19, you likely ate at a restaurant, CDC report finds »]( [The vaccine being developed by Oxford and AstraZeneca is widely perceived to be one of the strongest contenders among the dozens of coronavirus vaccines in various stages of testing around the world.]( [Oxford, AstraZeneca resume coronavirus vaccine trial »]( [As deadly wildfires ravage Western states, doctors are warning that bad air quality from the smoke could make people more vulnerable to coronavirus infections.]( [Air pollution from the wildfires can make people more vulnerable to coronavirus, doctors say »]( [The disinfectant, which can also be used for other viruses, is still a work in process. ]( [Tech company teams up with university to create longer lasting disinfectant for COVID-19 »]( MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT [Manage your email newsletter subscriptions »]( For the very latest information, download our free apps [Download our iOS app]( [Download our Android app]( [KETV NewsWatch 7]( [Facebook logo]( [Twitter logo]( [YouTube logo]( To ensure email delivery, add emailnews@email.ketv.com to your address book or safe senders list © 2020 Hearst Television Inc. 300 W 57th Street, New York NY 10019 [Privacy Notice]( | [Terms of Use]( | [Unsubscribe](
