No matter the result on Nov 3rd (or whenever all the votes get counted), there’s one thing that’s certain: we have a lot of healing to do as a nation. I saw this on the campaign trail, and we see it daily on social media. People are exhausted by the vitriol, hate, and misinformation that is consuming our discourse. Politics is more divisive than ever, and it’s going to be on our elected leaders to show it’s possible to come together to get things done for the families that are counting on their government to make a difference. That’s why I wanted to bring attention to four of my colleagues in the house that have made real people -- not partisan politics -- the focal point of their time in Congress: Xochitl Torres Small - NM, Angie Craig - MN, Abby Finkenauer - IA, and Cindy Axne - IA. I’ve had the honor of working closely with all four of these incredible women in the House, and now they are all in challenging races to hold their seats. [It’s critical that Democrats double down on support to hold onto our House majority, and these four seats are central to that goal. Donate here to split a contribution between Xochitl, Angie, Abby, and Cindy.]( [CONTRIBUTE]( Xochitl Torres Small was the first woman to hold her seat in New Mexico’s second district when she defeated the Republican incumbent in 2018. Now, that former incumbent is trying to reclaim the seat. In fact, this seat is rated as one of the MOST vulnerable in the House. Angie Craig was the first openly lesbian mother to be elected to Congress, the FIRST woman to be elected in Minnesota's 2nd district, and the first openly gay person elected to Congress from MN. Just like Xochitl, she beat a Republican incumbent. She’s the definition of putting petty politics aside for the greater good. Abby Finkenauer is the youngest woman EVER to flip a congressional seat, and the second youngest in Congress after Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez. Abby and Cindy Axne were the first women to be elected to the house in Iowa. Cindy Axne is a fifth-gen Iowan, small business owner, and mom. She beat a Republican incumbent in 2018 with a message of not being afraid of tough fights, accountability, and putting families over politics and red tape. [These four women are the definition of strong leadership, and they’re exactly who we need for the challenges we will face post Nov. 3. Donate now to help them secure their victories and hold our Democratic majority in the House.]( Our fight for bolder, stronger, and more present leadership can’t miss a beat. These races are giving Democrats the best chance to course correct after four horrific years of Donald Trump. [CONTRIBUTE]( Thank you for your support, and let’s go win!
