The best advice we heard in 2023 from business owners                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 December 23, 2023 | [Read Online]( Good morning. It's Saturday, Dec. 23, and we're covering a garbage take on Colorado decision, the disinformation reporter, NFL injury trackers, and much more. First time reading? Sign up here. American Fact of the Day! The Largest Mountain: The largest mountain in the United States can be found in the state of Alaska. Sitting at 20,310 feet above sea level, the peak of Denali (or Mount McKinley, as it’s sometimes referred to) is the third most topographically isolated and prominent summit on Earth. Breaking Updates Ted Lieu Gets Decimated Again After Truly Garbage Take on the Colorado Decision Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) is not the sharpest tool in the drawer. He weighed in on [the Colorado Supreme Court decision to boot former President Donald Trump]( off the ballot. [The Colorado trial court HELD A TRIAL and made rock solid findings of fact that Trump “engaged in insurrection.”]( SCOTUS would not have any basis to overrule the findings. The only way SCOTUS can overturn is to make the perverse ruling that Presidents can engage in insurrection. This is just nonsense. There was a hearing where there was no due process for Trump and no jury. [Their "evidence" was the political nonsense](of the Jan. 6 Committee. That's not the way that you take away Trump's rights or the right of the people to vote for him. There was ample reason to question the decision in Colorado. The district court judge in Colorado also believed [that the 14th Amendment didn't apply because it didn't apply to presidents,]( that he was not an "officer" since he was elected by the people. Ted seems to be skipping over that or not understanding that fact. So that's also a question here. Either Lieu, who is an attorney, isn't being straight on the question, or he's truly clueless as to the questions here… Read more updates [here]( NBC News 'Disinformation Reporter' Ben Collins Tells on Himself in Defense of Harvard's Claudine Gay [As controversy continues to swirl around Harvard's woke president Claudine Gay](stemming from plagiarism allegations that even CNN is calling out, it has been very revealing not to mention instructive to see who has been defending Gay as well as the type of defenses they've been putting up on her behalf. For instance, retired Harvard professor Charles Fried indicated [he'd be willing to take the well-documented claims against Claudine Gay]( seriously if they came from someone other than those dastardly right-wingers. [NBC News "reporter" Ben Collins, who we've been reliably informed is an expert in disinformation,](similarly told on himself when he went after prominent Critical Race Theory critic Christopher Rufo, suggesting that the problem isn't Claudine Gay but mainstream media outlets that (rightfully) treat Rufo - who was the first to research and document the accusations - as a credible source to be taken seriously. Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald was on the same page: The entire "disinformation industry" was manufactured after the 2016 election -- "disinformation expert" is a fake credential -- and its only purpose was to justify censorship of dissent from neoliberal orthodoxies by masquerading such partisan censorship as neutral science... Accountant vs. Bookkeeper: What’s the Difference? Accountants and bookkeepers are both financial professionals but perform different tasks. American Politics Elon Musk and Exxon talked up a key ingredient in EVs this year. Here's why. Lithium became a hot topic in the EV world this year. But its long-term future looks uncertain. 2024 presidential candidates: Who are the candidates? As the campaigns takes shape, here are the names you need to know Supreme Court to consider giving First Amendment protections to social media posts The Supreme Court will hear five cases this term that will examine the nature of online discussion spaces run by social media platforms.
