The indictment, which is currently sealed, follows a grand jury review of new allegations from women. Weinstein, who is currently recovering from emergency heart surgery at Bellevue Hospital, did not attend the court hearing where the trial date was set for November 12. Weinstein, previously convicted in 2020 of rape and sexual assault, had his conviction overturned in April due to a legal error. The tremor, which occurred around 7:28 a.m. PT at a depth of 7 miles, was felt across Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Despite the widespread shaking, there were no immediate reports of injuries or significant structural damage.
