The lawsuit accuses the hospital of failing to monitor medication procedures and prevent drug diversion. The nurse, Dani Marie Schofield, has been charged with 44 counts of second-degree assault and is not named in this latest lawsuit, though she is part of a separate case related to the death of a 65-year-old man. The new lawsuit includes 18 plaintiffs, both living patients and deceased patients' estates, who suffered infections and other damages due to the alleged misconduct.
