The way we’re “doing Congress” isn't working

Simply put, I’m a single mom of three who “does Congress” differently than most of my colleagues. - I’m one of just eleven (out of 435!) Members of Congress who doesn't take federal lobbyist money. - I’m the only candidate in this race who has never taken corporate PAC money, and I fully support banning it. - When Congress brought back “earmarks” in 2021 (after they were banned under President Obama because the process leads to corruption and waste) I was the only Democrat to oppose their return. Now, powerful special interests and establishment, career politicians are coming after us. Super PACs have spent $7 million dollars attacking me with a dishonest ad. My opponent, funded by decades of corporate PAC checks, is outspending us three to one. But despite all that, a recent poll shows us one single point ahead of our Republican opponent, and if we beat him—we advance to the general election.
