As a law professor, I shared my insight about how families are struggling to make ends meetâoften deciding between putting food on the table and paying the bills, or taking on unmanageable levels of debt. I watched Sherrod acknowledge the pain families feel when they can barely survive. He stood up for consumers and urged the Senate to take action to protect Americans from predatory lenders.
