Here’s a breakdown of the ruling and [what it means for the Republican frontrunner](: What happened? Trump has long argued that he’s immune to the federal indictment charging him with trying to overturn the 2020 election. But a three-judge panel unanimously ruled that executive privilege does not extend to former presidents — and that Trump must go to trial. What Trump said: He blasted the ruling on his platform Truth Social. “So bad, and so dangerous,” he wrote. “A Nation-destroying ruling like this cannot be allowed to stand.” What comes next? The U.S. is reviewing a "positive" response by Hamas to a new proposal aimed at releasing the remaining hostages and securing a longer pause in fighting. Meanwhile in Yemen, the Houthis have vowed to increase attacks on U.S. and U.K. ships if Israel's assault on Gaza continues. Landmark ruling: Michigan jurors have found Jennifer Crumbley guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the deadly school shooting her son Ethan Crumbley carried out in 2021. She was convicted on four counts, one for each of the students Ethan killed. During testimony, Jennifer said that it was her husband's responsibility to store the gun as she "didn't feel comfortable" with it — and that she wished that Ethan had "killed us, instead.” Swift watch: Taylor Swift fans have been speculating as to whether the Anti-Hero singer will make it back to Las Vegas in time to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday.
