Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has dropped out of the race for the White House, leaving Donald Trump and Nikki Haley to duke it out in tomorrow's New Hampshire primary. [Here’s the latest](: Bowing out: After placing a distant second to Trump in Iowa and polling in the single digits in New Hampshire, DeSantis threw in the towel. “It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” he said in a video message on X. Backing Trump: DeSantis quickly endorsed the GOP frontrunner and took one final shot at Haley. The GOP “can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear, or a repackaged form of warmed-over corporatism that Nikki Haley represents,” he said. Looking ahead: Trump seems to have widened his lead in New Hampshire with 50% of the vote — 11 points ahead of Haley — per a new CNN/University of New Hampshire survey. The $217 million Ram Mandir was built on the site of a 16th century mosque that was destroyed by Hindu nationalists in 1992, sparking violent nationwide riots that claimed the lives of 2,000 — mostly Muslim —people. Modi, who's seeking a third term in this year's elections, is hoping to receive a major boost from today's celebrations on the contested holy site. Deep freeze: The bitterly cold temperatures that have engulfed the East Coast will shift through the Midwest and South this week, with folks from Dallas to Michigan facing ice and freezing rain today. Drivers are advised to stay off the roads if possible, or exercise special caution if they must venture out. At least 80 people have died in January's winter storms. Most of the last weekend's fatalities were in Tennessee, where at least 27 lives were claimed. Closer look: The FAA has recommended door plug inspections on another Boeing model following the mid-air emergency on an Alaska Airlines plane earlier this month. The agency noted that the older 737-900ER planes have the same door plug design as the 737 Max 9 involved in the incident — but there's no evidence of any problem with them so far. NFL roundup: The Detroit Lions will advance to their first NFC Championship Game since 1991 following yesterday's 31-23 divisional round victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the visiting Kansas City Chiefs knocked out their old rivals the Buffalo Bills in a 27-24 AFC divisional round nailbiter. Wade, the landmark ruling that protected a woman's right to choose for decades. Then, on Jan. 24, 2022, SCOTUS took those protections away with its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. Since then, many women across America have been unable to get abortions in their own states.
