Here's the scoop: A brief visit: Trump spent just over 20 minutes in the facility before being released on a prearranged $200,000 bond. Jail records put him at 6 feet 3 inches tall and 215 pounds, with blue eyes and blond or strawberry hair. Speaking to Newsmax later in the evening, Trump described the process as “terrible” and “very sad," adding: “In my whole life I didn’t know anything about indictments and now I’ve been indicted like four times.” Of course, the former president is not the only one going through it. Here’s a look at the Trump allies also facing charges, and what to expect from the months ahead: Moving forward: Eleven of Trump's 18 alleged co-conspirators have turned themselves in, including former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. The others have until noon today to voluntarily surrender. The Fulton County D.A. has asked to begin the trial on Oct. 23, but Trump is hoping to push it back. His attorneys have moved to sever his case from his co-defendant Kenneth Chesebro, who's in favor of a speedy trial. Per the New York Times, U.S. officials are increasingly certain that Prigozhin died in Wednesday's plane crash near Moscow, and that President Putin ordered the killing. Putin has referred to Prigozhin on TV, saying: “He made some serious mistakes in life, but he also achieved necessary results.” British military intelligence has noted that Prigozhin's death “will almost certainly have a deeply destabilizing effect” on the notorious Wagner mercenary group, and that his "audacity" and "brutality" are “unlikely to be matched by any successor.” Unaccounted for: Maui County officials have released a list of nearly 400 people whose whereabouts remain unknown since the wildfires that [devastated the island earlier this month](. There are 388 names on the "validated list" compiled by the FBI, an immense number that still represents a huge drop from the 1,000 people previously believed missing. The death toll stands at 115, making it the deadliest U.S. wildfire catastrophe in over a century. A traumatic exchange: At least 75 Pittsburgh officers are being placed on leave after an hourslong standoff with a man who shot at deputies serving an eviction notice. William Hardison Sr. “turned violent and began shooting,” leading to a six-hour exchange of gunfire that ended with Hardison's death. The sheriff has reportedly "reached out to each of the deputies personally," and stressed that they'll complete psychiatric evaluations before returning to work. On hold: The release of Dune: Part Two is being postponed until March 15, 2024 in light of the actors strike.
