Trump could be facing a third indictment. [For the best experience, read in browser.]( July 19, 2023 There could be more legal trouble for Trump on the horizon. Our resident legal expert [Neal Katyal breaks down the target letters]( against Trump, and we’ve got more on [what other Republicans are saying](. Then we’ll head over to health, where we’re [explaining a new method of testing for cancer]( and sharing [my Pilates instructor’s hip-opening stretches](. Read on!   In the News [Donald Trump]( Getty Images Legal Jeopardy Donald Trump is facing more legal hurdles ahead of the 2024 presidential election. On Tuesday, the former president revealed that he’s a target in the probe of the Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021. Here’s [what we know about this potentially explosive case](. In hot water? In a post on his platform Truth Social, Trump said he received a “target letter” from special counsel Jack Smith on Sunday, meaning he could be charged by prosecutors, but it’s unclear what exactly those charges might be. The bigger picture: This would mark Trump’s third indictment this year (and the second in a matter of months, following the charges for his mishandling of classified documents). The former president is also at the center of another criminal investigation in Georgia related to the 2020 election, and this is all unfolding as Michigan’s attorney general charges 16 “fake electors” who erroneously claimed Trump won that race. Here’s more on [what Trump’s fellow Republicans are saying]( about the potential charges — and what those might entail. (Getty Images) Extreme weather: Phoenix just sweated through its 19th consecutive day of more than 110-degree heat, the longest such heatwave ever recorded in the city. Tuesday's temperatures also surpassed the city's previous daily record of 115 F, set in 1989. Meanwhile in Hawaii, Gov. Josh Green has declared a state of emergency for the Big Island as it braces for flash flooding and dangerous winds courtesy of Storm Calvin. Raising questions: A 16-year-old employee has died on the job at a Mississippi poultry processing plant. Duvan Tomas Perez, a middle school student, was two years younger than the minimum age of 18 required to work at such plants, which are considered too dangerous for children. Mar-Jac Poultry, which is based about 100 miles southeast of Jackson, said the boy died from injuries sustained in an "accident." The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident. "Try That" backlash: Country music star Jason Aldean has responded to criticism of his single Try That in a Small Town. The song has stirred controversy due to its apparent references to anti-gun rhetoric, and lyrics like "See how far ya make it down the road," which have been accused of evoking lynching. In a tweet last night, Aldean strongly denied any suggestion that the song promotes violence, explaining that it refers to "the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors." Good news for weekend warriors: We all know it's healthy to include movement in our daily routines, but finding the motivation (and time) amid a busy work week can be a major challenge. Luckily, new research has found that people who cram 2.5 hours of exercise into the weekend cut their heart attack risk almost as much as those who spread it throughout the week — and cut their risk of heart failure by 38%, as opposed to 36% for the "little and often" crowd. [Here's more.](   Breaking It Down If Donald Trump’s Truth Social post is to be believed, a third criminal indictment is imminent.
