On Monday, pollster Nate Silver released an updated election forecast, showing Harris leading nationally with 46.8% support, compared to Trump's 43.7%. But he hedged on whether she would be able to keep up the pace in an especially unpredictable summer. “We’ve seen big polling misses in the past, and there are other big events coming,” he told me, pointing to the upcoming debate between Harris and Trump on Sept. 10.
