Here’s [more on his decision to drop out of the 2024 election]( and back VP Kamala Harris: Stepping back: In a statement on social media, Biden said: “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down.” In a separate post, he endorsed Harris and urged Democrats to “come together and beat Trump.” The road ahead: Harris is the obvious frontrunner to replace Biden, and no big names have yet come forward to challenge her — but her nomination isn't guaranteed.
