Biden's "aggressive" push to stay in the race. [For the best experience, read in browser.]( July 10, 2024 We’ll start off this morning in D.C., where I asked the NYT’s chief White House correspondent all about Biden’s battle for the Democratic nomination — and [the political panic going on behind closed doors](. To make sense of the latest, I turned to my friend Peter Baker, chief White House correspondent at the New York Times, for [an expert take on what's next for the president](. Baker says White House staffers are currently in "survival mode" — and they're taking their cues from Biden himself as they mount a defense against calls for him to leave the race. "They're saying, 'Enough of this. [Biden] is staying, so get over it.' There's an aggressive feeling right now in the White House." We've got more of Baker's take on [what could happen at the Democratic National Convention](, what this means for Vice President Kamala Harris, and the conversation on the other side of the aisle about the extremist plan, Project 2025.
