In a letter to House Democrats on Monday, the Democratic nominee said he would continue his reelection bid, despite concerns about his health and ability to beat former President Trump. “I want you to know that despite all the speculation in the press and elsewhere, I am firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump,” Biden wrote. His remarks come alongside a report that a Parkinson’s disease specialist has visited the White House at least eight times over the last eight months and as an increasing number of Democrats call on him to step aside.
