[Here's the scoop.]( Trump was booed and jeered as he urged delegates to "nominate me or at least vote for me" during his speech on Saturday. When a member put Trump's name forward to be considered for the party's presidential nomination on Sunday, another man tried to argue that he didn't qualify — and received a standing ovation. Libertarian Party chair Angela McArdle determined that Trump was ineligible for the nomination as he never filed the paperwork. Trump responded on Truth Social that while he "would have absolutely gotten if I wanted it," as GOP nominee, he wasn't "allowed" to be nominated by another party. Chase Oliver, a 38-year-old political activist, ultimately won the Libertarian Party's nomination.
