In the News [hands holding out ultraprocessed foods: ice cream, sausage, chicken finger]( Getty/KCM A Lot to Process Research continues to come out about the health risks of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) â and a new study suggests they might even be deadly. Over the course of 30 years, researchers followed more than 100,000 U.S. adults with no prior medical conditions and found that those who ate lots of UPFs had a 4% higher risk of an early death. These findings build on research released in February, which revealed that eating a diet high in these foods has been associated with 32 different health conditions, including cancer and type 2 diabetes. At one point, a Trump attorney asked the adult film actress: âYou made this all up, right?â Daniels responded that the one-night stand was âvery much real.â Later on, Trumpâs attorneys asked for a mistrial again, arguing that Danielsâs testimony was prejudicial. Justice Juan Merchan denied the request and refused to alter a gag order. Hunter Biden could be headed to trial after a federal appeals court declined to dismiss the gun charges against him. The criminal trial is set to begin June 3, and Biden's due to appear in court May 24 for a pretrial conference. A new study from University of Missouri-Kansas City found that colorectal cancer is on the rise in young people ages 10-44 â jumping as much as 500% among certain age groups. Itâs important to note, though, that the study has yet to be peer-reviewed, and that these cases are still low overall compared to older groups.
