(Getty Images) Shifting Views The Israel-Hamas war has been raging for almost six months now, and a lot has changed since the start of the conflict — including Americans’ opinions about it. Roughly 58% of people say Israel has valid reasons for fighting, compared to just 22% who said the same about Hamas, according to a recent poll by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. Their thoughts on the Israeli government’s military response in Gaza appears to be a different story, though. The IDF says it is investigating "this tragic incident." Trump gag order: The judge presiding over Donald Trump's hush money criminal trial has extended his gag order to prevent the former president from attacking members of his family. Judge Merchan said Trump's behavior serves "no legitimate purpose," but "injects fear" in those "called to participate in the proceedings." Reproductive rights: Florida's Supreme Court cleared the way for a statewide ban on abortion after six weeks — but in a separate decision, allowed voters to decide in November whether to expand access. A proposed constitutional amendment would enshrine access to terminations “before viability," aka, around 24 weeks. Bird flu: A person in Texas has been diagnosed with an especially virulent strain of bird flu after contact with cows who are presumed to be infected. The strain is fatal in more than 50% of cases, but there's thankfully no sign yet that the flu has evolved to spread easily among humans.   Clark Does It Again [Caitlin Clark making a first during a game]( Getty images Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes advanced to the NCAA women’s Final Four after beating LSU 94-87 in New York last night. The game saw Clark go up against Tigers star Angel Reese in a tense sequel to their meeting last year, which saw the Tigers claim the national championship.
