Last week Donald Trump said that he opposed funding the USPS at the level it needs, because he doesn't want to see it used for mail-in voting this November. {NAME}, I won’t sit idly by while Trump tries to undermine the USPS and suppress votes in a desperate attempt to win re-election. Americans rely on the postal service for life-saving medication and other essential deliveries. Not the mention: the United States Postal Service employees millions of Americans -- and roughly 20% of their workforce is made up of veterans. Luckily, it seems like the House will be called back early from recess to vote on a funding package for the USPS, but I need you to weigh in and raise your voice before we vote. [Add your name to my emergency petition right now to stand with the USPS →]( [ADD YOUR NAME]( {NAME}, using the postal service as a political cudgel is unacceptable. Small business owners, seniors and veterans who get medication through the mail, and people waiting on paychecks all depend on the postal service. Not to mention, sending in ballots through the mail can be the safest way to participate in our democracy during the ongoing pandemic. It’s essential to fund the postal service -- it’s even enshrined in our Constitution! I’m going to do everything in my power to ensure that we protect and fund the US Postal Service, but I need to know you agree.
