I’m kidding. But, I’m sure you’ve seen all of the content online about how amazing it is and how we’re all up Schitt’s Creek without a paddle if we don’t learn how to use it. I think that’s all pretty silly. But, I have enjoyed using ChatGPT to make my content production process faster, more efficient, and more interesting. So today, I’ll share three tips on how I use ChatGPT to do those things. So, What Is ChatGPT? ChatGPT is highly advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) that is capable of understanding and even generating human language. Because ChatGPT has been trained on a really large dataset of text from the internet, it has knowledge about a wide range of topics. It can be used in a variety of ways, including: - Answering questions and providing information - Having natural and engaging conversations - Writing stories, articles, and even poetry - Summarizing large amounts of text - Helping with research - Doing sentiment analysis, and more. But... ChatGPT is only really as smart as the person using it. If you don't understand how to feed it the right information, it can become challenging to get anything useful back. So, here are 3 examples of how I've used it to improve my content creation process. Let's dive in. Use case #1: Better Hook Lines One of my favorite ways to use ChatGPT is to generate more compelling hooks for social media content. But you can’t simply ask it for a hook. Providing it with background context and asking it to do very specific tasks make the results significantly better. Here’s an opening line from a popular LinkedIn post I wrote last year: Here’s how I used that post and prompted ChatGPT to help me write a better one that I can use to repurpose that piece of content: Rather than copy and paste one of those lines, I can start riffing on them to create more compelling hooks for a repurpose. I might also find one of these lines to be compelling for a new piece of content. Use case #2: Better Twitter thread organization Another great use case for ChatGPT is to organize high-density Tweet threads or longer-form pieces of content. For example, if you asked me to give you 8 tips on how to design a good landing page, I could certainly do that. I’ve built some extremely high-converting landing pages for my products. But, if I was forced to sit down and put those tips in perfect order for a Tweet thread, it would take me 30-45 minutes to brain dump, organize, edit, etc. Instead, I can use ChatGPT to help me think through those tips and organize them so I can start writing faster. Check it out: I can now comb through these tips, cross out ones I disagree with, add ones that are missing, and start putting my own information, ideas, and advice into it. This is not “copy and paste”. This is now an outline that I can use to add my own touch, flare, and experience to. Use case #3: Better sales emails Lastly, ChatGPT can help you write great sales emails to launch a course, run a promotion, etc. Much like use case #2 above, this isn’t about “copy and paste.” This is about “prepping the page” which means you can start writing your sales email with a helpful outline rather than staring at a blank piece of white paper and trying to write from scratch. Check it out: P.S. I’m not creating this community. In Summary: Chat GPT is a pretty amazing tool. I use some part of it each week in my content creation strategy. As we get deeper into 2023, I think one of the most important skill sets will be understanding how to prompt ChatGPT to give you the best information possible. I actually used it to write the first paragraph of this newsletter issue (with some edits + Schitt’s Creek references thrown in). How will you use this exciting new tool? Start strategizing. See you next Saturday. --------------------------------------------------------------- Whenever you're ready, there are 2 ways I can help you: 1. Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
