A super exciting life stuff update. 💙 [View this email in your browser]( Life Stuff It's a Boy! Hope you're happy and having a lot of fun with your guitar. This is my first day back at 'work' in a couple of weeks because at the start of the month we welcomed a new baby boy to our family! We want to keep his name off social media for the time being, so we're just calling him M. This was the 'secret non-guitar project' I mentioned had been keeping me busy! I'm taking some time to enjoy these early days; we're already getting out and about for long country walks, and it's wonderful to see my daughter engaging with him, too. It's early days, of course, but he's sleeping well and often smiling and laughing! I did enjoy the [social media reactions]( to the combined news of my 50th birthday with my new son. I know that it puts me in the 'older dad' category, but I love the way it's turning out. I lived my 20s and 30s to the max with my career and adventure, and now I am more settled—it's the perfect time to parent! And I don't feel or act 50; I am still super active, training BJJ and working out regularly. For sure I’m a lot fitter and stronger than some of my friends who are 20 years younger! I've been doing just a bare minimum of 'work,' while I had hoped to get a load of things filmed before M was born, I just didn't have time in the end. But my team has been doing great, and I'm so thankful for them all. Our developer, Ben, has been working on improving the site speed and has made incredible improvements! You will likely notice that page load times are super fast now; some page loads have dropped from over 2 seconds to 150 milliseconds! Laryne has been super busy organizing our backlog so that we can hit the ground running as I get back to work (as well as running everything!). Fanny has been working on Clubs and Onboarding. Our designer, Barbara, is still on maternity leave, and we miss her! I always appreciate the support from the Approved Teachers, moderators, and all part-timers, too! Food for Thought A super fun project we've been working on is a collection of my Food for Thought articles, originally published in Guitar Techniques magazine. We'll publish them in a book later this year, so I've been revising the articles—it's been a fun little trip back down memory lane. But otherwise, I've not got much done at all! In fact, other than playing lullabies for M, I've hardly touched a guitar. Would you dig courses on how to play lullabies? 🤔 Anyways—I will get back to my guitar stuff this week! The [Blues Immersion]( program keeps ticking along, and I've been still doing a lot of listening and had some very cool ideas for developing it all. I can't wait to get completely stuck into it. I'll be back soon with many new lessons and cool ideas brewing; the break is refueling my enthusiasm! My live lessons will restart in mid to late April—we'll email y'all with more details when the time comes. For now, don't miss out on my [Approved Teachers Clubs]( So, while I'm out, enjoy my back catalog—I hope there is enough to keep you busy. ;) Cheers, Justin [Explore JustinGuitar]( [Facebook icon]( [Instagram icon]( [YouTube icon]( [TikTok icon]( [Logo] Copyright (C) 2024 Justin Guitar Ltd.
