G'day {NAME} Happy Thanksgiving to y'all that celebrate it :) this is a late November quick newslett

[justinguitar.com newsletter - November 2016] G'day {NAME} Happy (slightly late) Thanksgiving to y'all that celebrate it :) this is a late November quick newsletter - I'll give you another update in early December with new lessons for the Holiday Season! This one is announcing some new products, has some special Festive Season shopping offers and stuff like that. So let's get cracking! News links and new lessons! Two New Books NOW SHIPPING The two new books I was working on this year are finally out! The Note Reading For Guitarists (co-write with Dario Cortese) is perfect if you've always wanted to read dots but were scared it would be too hard - we break it down into easy steps. Rhythm Reading (co-write with drummer Justin Scott) is a massive book full of rhythms for you to tap out and eventually play. Doing these exercises regularly will give you a massive improvement in your rhythm skills (in every aspect of your playing!) but I know it seems less appealing - but if you're serious about guitar you should get into it! [Note Reading For Guitarists] [Rhythm Reading] Mega DVD Offer - all of them for just £99.95 We did this offer last year and had to do emergency re-prints it was so popular so we thought we'd run it again this year! All the DVD's that we have can be yours for just £99.95 :) That's less than half price (saves £128.10 to be exact) and is only available until the end of the year. [The JustinGuitar Complete DVD Collection for just £99.95] Mega Tee Offer - all JustinGuitar T-Shirts now just £9.95 Help me spread the word and share where you learn guitar with our collection of fun and super cool t-shirts (usually £14.95) On sale through December! [JustinGuitar T-Shirts now just £9.95] Be Good This Xmas and win AWESOME STUFF :) I've got a big Santa sack full of awesome stuff to give away to people that do good things in their community. Big thanks to all the sponsors (those with links) who donated items for the prize pool :) the other items I'm paying for myself. Prize Pool • Fender American Special HSS Stratocaster (worth £939) • 5 x One hour skype lessons with Justin ($priceless! ha ha) • 5 x The Edge Course from the [Music Business Institute] ($299 each!) • [D'Addario] "care boxes" with strings and accessories (gotta work it out!) • 10 x [Guitar Pro] Software (€59.95 each!) • [Blake Apex Gigbag case] (£150) • TC Electronic Ditto Looper pedal (£78) • A one year All Access subscription to [FourChords app] (£25.99) • 3 x [Transcribe!] software ($39 each) • 5 x [JustinGuitar] Songbooks (£17.95 each) • More prizes to be announced shortly - see the web site! Started Nov 12 I got a new series on Sweet Child O Mine, the intro, chords, all the solos, the whole thing. 5 Parts filmed so far, just the main solo and rhythm details to film :) [Sweet Child O' Mine Intro Riff] [Sweet Child O' Mine Chords and Arrangement] [Sweet Child O' Mine First Solo] Our Django Favourites Live Workshop in London I've always enjoyed listening to Django and gypsy jazz but never been much good at it, but I just did a few lessons with Martin Taylor and really enjoying exploring it (just for my own fun). He and Robin Nolan are running a workshop in London next year - it ain't cheap but it looks great! I'll be going myself for sure and I'm sure some of you will be interested too. Here's the link, but get in quick, his workshops sell pretty quick! [Justin's 30 minute skype chat with Martin about Gypsy Jazz!] [More info on the London Workshop here] All Over Blues Lead Guitar So I'm a bit behind on this... I've had to dedicate most of the last month to two new projects but I'll be on this in the next week to finish it off and decide on the new course! [All Over Blues Lead Guitar Course] Beginner & Aussie Songbook Songs The Beginner Songs alternate with songs from the Aussie Songbook on Fridays. Not so many to announce as the last newsletter was late, and this one early! ha ha. But the weekend special Thunderstruck is also in the Aussie songbook and I been busy and filmed another bunch that are coming in the coming weeks. [Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran] (Mega pop hit!) [Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil] (Aussie protest rock!) [All You Need Is Love by The Beatles] (fun rhythms!) [Cry In Shame by Johnny Diesel and the Injectors] (finest Aussie rock!) [Buy The Beginner's Songbook Volume 2 at our official store] [Buy The Aussie Classics Songbook at our official store] Jam Blues 3 Backing Track Album Dave and I love making these backing track albums, and for this last one we had a great bunch of friends over to a studio to jam and record for an afternoon and after some trimming and tidying we got these 10 awesome fun tracks for you to jam with! Now available on Amazon as well as iTunes (but not Apple music). [Jam your heart out with Jam Blues 3 on Amazon UK] [Jam your heart out with Jam Blues 3 on Amazon US] * P.S. if you dig them I'd really appreciate a review! :) * Blues Licks iOS App Lotta great feedback from my new Blues Licks app. It's all 56 of the licks from my series in app form with tab, animated fretboard and the ability to download the videos for each into the app. Sorry no Android version yet, maybe in the future. [Blues Licks app on the App store] General News Just a quick news for you today... got crazy amount on my plate... mostly this last month I've been working on a new app with Musopia which is a Beginner Song Course and has hundred of easy songs to play along with - kind of karaoke style play along - all designed to line up with my Beginner Course! It's been a lot of work but on the home strait now - more info next newsletter. It's scheduled for release December 1st! I got another big project in the works too which I might be able to tell you about next newsletter - if not then, early in the new year. I'm super excited about it and it's taking all my spare time. Been a slow start for the #JustinGuitarXmas giveaway - I got a super sexy American Special Strat as the top prize and it's super nice. I'll be making a video for the competition shortly - so get in soon before it gets crazy! One last thing... I don't normally recommend other YouTube channels but.. [That Pedal Show] is a really awesome new-ish show hosted by Mick Taylor (tasty guitar player, ex big guitar magazine editor, helped me on the series I did for for the BBC and super nice guy) and Daniel Steinhardt (the man behind the Gig Rig products and a total tone junkie genius). I love it and you probably will too, they talk a lot about what pedals do and how to use them most effectively. Certainly my favourite YouTube show and the two of them know a LOT about tone and how to help you make your guitar sound awesome and it's also a lot of fun. Go check it out. Anyhows- more news in a couple of weeks! Thanks as always for the continued support, it's greatly appreciated and I'm thankful every day that I can make a living doing what I love, and without your donations and support it just wouldn't be possible. So thank you! Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
