Managed to get a new lesson out almost every day in October!! And lots more coming - I'm on a vibe right now and enjoying 'work' loads! November 2018 Newsletter Howdy Guitar Player! As well as getting a new lesson out almost every day last month I also got a new puppy! Meet Ziggy (above), a Border Collie cross who is likely to be the reason I don't get a new lesson out every day this month! Ha ha - but I'm still going to try! I've been really busy but I'm really enjoying making new lessons at the moment... I usually do enjoy it, but more so than usual. It's nearly all been lessons and not so many songs - not exactly sure why, seems like I go through phases of what I feel like doing and try to stick with doing things I'm feeling the vibe for, makes for better lessons I think! Lots more coming up too - some exciting new ventures in development and will give it a good go for a new lesson every day! New Lessons Well, last month was the most "new series started" and I managed to follow it through this month with the most lessons in a month (maybe not ever., but certainly for quite some time!). [• Electric Guitar Setup with Charlie Chandler •]( Some of you may remember that cheap and nasty electric I got from Amazon right? Well, I got Master Guitar Technician [Charlie Chandler]( to come by and show us how to make a guitar play much better. He did an amazing job of it - I learned a lot - and you probably will too! We're 3 lessons in, there are 10 in total and they're out 5pm on Mondays (UK time!). [• Shape Explorer •]( This series finished yesterday (Sunday) and all five shapes are covered now - lot of great feedback on it and I think this is a valuable series for most beginner and Intermediate players! Am working on some more fun beginner chord lessons as well! [• 59 Second Guitar Lessons •]( There are 7 lessons in this series now and I've just run out, so will be filming more this week, so keep an eye on the Latest Lessons (front page of your dashboard) to see what I come up with. Theyre fun, challenging and perfect for those wth short attention spans, or just short on time to learn new things! [• The Captian's Privates •]( We've refined the format for this a bit now, we're up to ep.3 and they're no longer live (took too much attention from the lesson) and meant I could use my regular camera setup which is much better picture and audio, just comes up a few days late. It's a super popular series and hope it might run for some time - he's making great progress and many people say it's quite inspiring - it's inspiring me for new ideas for lessons too! [• Boss Katana Amp & Effects Series •]( Got a couple more lesson done here too - but mostly working on a big batch of patches that are almost there - just some tweaking and refining - I suspect they'll start to be released in the next month too! [• Practical Music Theory •]( Been getting loads of great feedback from people this week that have made leaps and bounds after going through the course... and Capt Anderton is just starting Grade 3! :) I'm about to hit another batch of lessons for it too, so if you wanna tuck into your theory, here's the place to do it! [• Blues Rhythm 2 Fun •]( I'm three lessons into this series and due to film more this week, the three so far have been super popular and there are so many little tricks I want to share with you... [• Guest Jazzer Mike Outram •]( I've not been for many lessons in the last 10 years, but a couple of them were with Mike, a really great Jazz guitar player and teacher and I'm a member of his website. He came down to do a guest lesson on Getting Into Jazz Improv - and another lesson with him is out later this week! New Songs Equal first for lack of new songs last month... a grand total of 1! I must get back into it, but there's so much I wanna do on the lesson front right now and I prefer to go where I'm feeling inspired... that said was just listening to Whipping Post this morning and I can feel something on that coming soon! :) I will get more songs cooking soon I'm sure. [Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers]( You only need Am, Dm and Em for this all-time classic but in the video, I go through a few chord variations you might like to explore too! Blasts From The Past Here's a couple of classic songs you might have missed! The ol' "song requests for songs I've done" was rampant again last month... [Snow (Hey Oh) Red Hot Chili Peppers]( This song has a killer riff - quite tricky to get up to speed but a lot of fun, a great melody and song with an almost 'technical workout' kind of riff and great for working those C Shape barre chords! [Slow Dancing In A Burning Room - John Mayer]( This is a real fun song to play and still heavily requested! :) I spent a load on a super awesome search feature that I hoped would be easy to use... ;') Store & Tee Shirt Updates There are some new tees ready to go but poor ol' Jedi been a busy boy last month and didn't get them up in time - but check on the store soon for some new designs! Over 70 original and exclusive designs available in a range of colours and S to XXXL :) It's still 3 for the price of 2! No code required, just add any 3 tee's to your cart and discount will be applied! Click the tee pix below to grab them at The Official JustinGuitar store - the only place you'll find them! [The Forum Song Comp]( The Christmas competition runs from now until a week before Christmas and the theme is Christmas collaboration! As well as the usual Skype sessions from me, I have some more super cool prizes, including a Boss Katana amp, some effects pedals, JustinGuitar store vouchers, D'Addario 'care packs', a selection of books and there are some more I'm working on too! Rules are - at least 2 members of the forum for each entry (max 5), one of which must have been a member before Oct 1st (so if you're new you need to make some friends real fast!). Must be somehow related to Christmas, a carol, or pop hit or something. Not more than 3 minutes long (makes it hard to judge) and closing date is December 18. [Beginner Song Course App News]( Pumping out a new song every week at the moment on here :) still getting crazy good reviews and feedback all around. See the new [Ain't No Sunshine]( song lesson if you are looking for a little demo of what is going on with the app and how it works! Other life stuff... So most of my spare time this last month has been looking after Ziggy, cleaning up after her and getting used to even less sleep than I had before... but really enjoying it! Just as I cropped the picture for this newsletter she made me a puddle on the kitchen floor. Awesome. Smooth seas don't make skilled sailors and all that... I'm working super hard but really enjoying it at the moment... I just got a new Universal Audio Ox Box which I'm looking forward to exploring more in the next few days, I found myself enjoying 'real amps' again lately and the Ox Box makes it almost as easy as using the Kemper... see how it goes and will do some kinda review thing when I get it figured out. Time for me to get back down into the studio and get some work done, set up the Ox Box, do some practice, film some new theory lessons and send this! Hope you're all having a lot of fun on your guitar journeys and see you very soon. Wishing you much love and laughter and guitar fun! Justin Copyright © 2018 Justin Guitar Ltd, All rights reserved. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
