JustinGuitar November 2017 Newsletter G'day {NAME} Got a whole lot of news for you this month, lotta

[justinguitar logo]( JustinGuitar November 2017 Newsletter G'day {NAME} Got a whole lot of news for you this month, lotta things that been in the works a while are coming together which is nice and while everything is frantic busy I've had to chill out a bit the last few days as I caught a nasty cold from my daughter :( Special thank you to all those that [made a donation]( (and sent in kind words!) after reading my newsletter last month. The new site is really gonna be awesome, will be much easier to navigate and find songs and lessons appropriate for you, and (providing I can afford it) there will be a lot of really cool personalized tools when people log in (still free!). Really excited and can't wait for y'all to start using it! NEW LESSONS, SONGS & MORE! New Lessons? As you might have gathered I've been remaking the old Ear Training series in a new and improved way to include playing the intervals on the instrument. We're 7 lessons in now, and this coming Thursday you can test your progress in a video Ear Test :) Then we'll move onto Grade 2! If you not got on board yet, then there's still room on the Play What You Hear train and you're welcome! These pages are still missing some text but I'll have to crack on with it next week. Promise! [1. The 7 Amazing Benefits Of Ear Training]( [2. Learning To Sing For Guitarists]( [3. Play What You Hear - Mega Effective Exercise]( [4. Play, Recognize & Sing: The Perfect 5th]( [5. Play, Recognize & Sing: The Perfect 4th]( [6. Play, Recognize & Sing: The Perfect 8ve (Octave)]( [7. Ear Training Tests]( Something For The Weekend...Tom Petty was one of those guys I always thought was cool but for some unknown reason I never got much beyond the surface hits until he passed away and man I feel a bit silly, like why did nobody tell me how awesome he was? So I decided on doing a tribute mini-series and will be doing some more early next year too! Hope you dig them. Mary Jane's Last Dance was the highlight for me, I wasn't familiar with it and it's such a crackin tune! [Free Fallin by Tom Petty]( ['Free Fallin' Tom Petty]( [Won't Back Down - Tom Petty ]( ['Won't Back Down' Tom Petty]( [Mary Jane's Last Dance - Tom Petty ]( ['Mary Jane's Last Dance' Tom Petty]( [Handle With Care - Travelling Wilburys ]( ['Handle With Care' Traveling Wilburys]( New Jam Modes Backing Tracks Finally got my Jam Modes Backing Track album released. My good friend Dave Marks and I got together a stellar gang of session cat friends in to jam and then edited them into these play along tracks for your jamming pleasure! This Modes album has some wonderful fun jams to solo over that will be both fun and educational too, perfect if you're doing the modes course (which I'll be filming vid lessons for shortly!). Get them at: [iTunes]( / [Amazon UK]( / [Amazon US]( New Ear Training Backing Tracks My new Ear Training Exercises audio tracks are live on iTunes and Amazon (downloads, not streaming!). If links below don't work just search for JustinGuitar. Each of the 3 volumes has 10 tracks of various instruments to test your interval Ear Training :) I used to make things like this to test myself on a train - you hear the interval 3 times and then I say the answer for you, so no messing about writing things down etc. If you're doing the (free!) Ear Training course then they are sure be of benefit and help show your support! Get them at: [iTunes]( / [Amazon UK]( / [Amazon US]( New Time Trainer and all apps for iOS11 We've been working on an updated Time Trainer Metronome for a while now and it's finally out :) It's got the same training modes as before but now you can save settings as songs and put them in setlists! And much louder clicks, better subdivisions use and faster tempo change options! Very cool. Will be starting work on the Android version in the new year. All other apps are getting updated for iOS11, most are live already now! [iOS Apple Store]( Shop discount - 25% off all DVD's & Downloads! Proper mega offer for you this month... 25% off all DVD's and Downloads so time to get yourself a little Xmas prezzie in early! Enter the code on checkout to get this offer which is only for you wonderful newsletter subscribers! [Use code NOV25 JustinGuitar Official Store]( Awesome New Tees Even more awesome tees released this last month (and more to come!). The Official Store also sells Downloads and DVD's and also all your guitar accessories, strings, capo's picks and all that - so go check it out. We got awesome customer service and we only stock great stuff that I dig and use, not just any old tosh! I'm running late with the newsletter and I've not had time to listen through to all last month's entries yet, but I'll get on it in the next few days and contact the winner. The next come ends on Dec 15 and as well the usual skype lesson you'll win £100 voucher to spend in our store! It's Festive Season theme covers, so solo arrangements or vocals, pop or traditional is all fine as long as there's a festive season theme! If you'd like to win an hour Skype lesson with me, them s Simply record yourself playing and original or cover song and head over to the community and submit your entry. You'll get feedback from other community members and maybe make some friends or learn something! :) [See the rules and enter right here!]( Beginner Song Course App Updates This month's update includes a new Playlist feature where you can save your own song choices to find and play a set easily! There's also new Christmas song playlist (with some lessons coming soon!) and we're in talks about a mega update for 2018 ;) Very exciting times! [iOS Apple StoreÂ]( Android Google Play]( General News The Christmas Songbook is at the printers but we're not going to offer it as a pre-order so will go on sale in the store as soon as we get it in hand, hopefully not later then the end of this month so should still be time for worldwide shipping. I think it'll be super popular and hope we printed enough! ;) Keep an eye on FaceBook and Twitter. The new site development has been my main focus the last weeks, going through each lesson and updating, improving and sorting each one as I go through. The dev team have the design mostly sorted out in the most basic frame and now we're onto the cooler features that will really make the site a step above other sites (I hope!). It's real exciting but I don't wanna talk about features too specifically until they're out in case there are tech issues. While I had hoped to get it live by Xmas, I think it'll be early in the new year before I can get the lessons all checked and sorted and I don't want to release it half baked, but might share a few pix next newsletter! In the coming month you can expect: • More rock and blues songs • A bunch of Christmas songs • Christmas Book release • Continued Ear Training Course • More new awesome Tee Shirts OK, It's Saturday and I'm not supposed to be working and there's a massive DIY to do list that I better get cracking on... so hope your guitar journey is going awesome and see ya soon! Wishing you much love, laughter and guitar fun! J.
