On Sundays I like to share with you 3 things that are on my mind. Sometimes these things are about copy... Sometimes they're about money... And other times they're just truly random. So with that said... Let's jump into the first thing on my mind this morning... 1. To be truly wealthy you gotta know how to make money, keep money, and grow money One of my big focuses over the last few months has been investing. I'm watching crypto like a hawk... I'm putting money into different real estate deals... And I'm generally thinking about what I want my investments to look like over the next ten years. This is something every wealthy person thinks about... They not only know how to make money... But they know how to grow their money too. I know a lot of guys who are good at making money, but they barely have any cause they don't know how to keep it, or how to grow it. Well if you want to be wealthy... You gotta know all three... You gotta know how to make it... How to keep it... And how to grow it... Got it? Alright let's hop to the second thing on my mind this morning... 2. Nothing will make your copy convert better than talking to your customers and understanding them better Last year I started reaching out to my customers and hopping on Zoom with two of them every single Friday. My goal? Simply to understand them better. I have nothing to sell them... And no ulterior motive... I simply want to understand who they are on a deeper level. So I just hop on Zoom with them... I ask questions... And then I shut my mouth and I listen. I can tell you in the year I've been doing this, it's been eye opening. I've learned so much about the people who buy from me... Who they are... What they want... What they avoid... And the hour I spend with them on Zoom is probably the highest ROI hour of my week. So if you're not regularly talking to your customers... I highly, highly suggest you start. Cause it will completely change how you come up with offers... How you price things... How you write copy... It changes everything. I really can't recommend it enough. Alright let's hop to the last thought on my mind this morning... This last one is a bit dark. And not something I like to think about... However... 3. I have serious, serious doubts about the future of the United States If you've been paying attention... The US has changed significantly over the last 15 years. And not in a good way. We've run up $34 trillion in debt and there's no signs of it slowing down... Social norms like being respectful and courteous have gone out the window... Republicans and Democrats no longer care about governing, they just care about dunking on the other side... The cost of everything from college to medical expenses to homes is through the roof... There's more wealth inequality than ever before... There's a big rise in populist and authoritarian politicians... So things are not great. And while America is still a better place to live than 90% of the countries on earth... There's no doubt that we're on the downside of our run as an empire. And my belief is that things won't get better... They'll get worse. Which is why I've recently gotten more serious about things like... Having multiple months of food & water on hand... Making my house more secure... Getting a second citizenship in another country... Ten years ago I thought this was what paranoid preppers did... But now I think it just makes logical sense. Cause things have changed. And I don't see 'em improving anytime soon (no matter who the next President is)... So I'm just preparing the best I can. And hoping I'm ready for whatever comes next. Anyways... That's whats on my mind this morning... So hopefully you got a nugget or two from this. I'm off to get a walk in...
