why most opportunities to make a LOT of dough, don't last forever

In my experience, most opportunities to make a lot of money do NOT last forever. For example... Back when Facebook Ads launched in 2008... It was like the wild west. There were no rules. You could say whatever you wanted... And you could run offers that would get you thrown in jail today. Nobody cared. And best of all... You could get quality clicks for 3-5 cents... So it was a gold mine back then... Sadly I wasn't smart enough to realize the huge opportunity that was in front of me... However... One of my friends (Sam) did recognize it.
