Back in 2009 when I paid my bills as a freelance copywriter, ---You're receiving this email because you previously subscribed to the Copy Legends email list. I recently bought Copy Legends, so I'm sending you daily emails to help you write better copy and to make more moolah. If you don't like these emails, or you don't like my shiny bald head, you can simply [unsubscribe here]( --- Back in 2009 when I paid my bills as a freelance copywriter, I eventually came to the conclusion that I HATED freelancing. Why? Mostly because I couldn't stand all the stupid shit that went along with client work. For example... One of my clients (a fitness guy) insisted that I be on his team call each week that lasted 90 minutes. However, I quickly learned that there was no reason for me to be on the calls. I didn't talk... They didn't ask for my input... Hell we barely even talked about copy... So each week I just sat there for 90 minutes and twiddled my thumbs. It seemed like a huge waste of time to me. So after three weeks of it... I went to the CEO and said "you know instead of being on these calls, I could be writing copy for you guys that actually makes you money". His response? "You're on retainer with us, so when we ask you to be on a call, you need to be on the call". Talk about stupid. It was a complete waste of my time... But I didn't have any control of the situation. I was their pawn. And whatever they wanted me to do, I had to do for the $3500 retainer. This is one of the downsides of freelancing. Some people are ok with it... But others (like me) hate it... So we eventually get sick of writing for clients... And we do our own thing. That's what I did back in 2010. Cause that's when I left freelancing... And started my own email list in the fitness space. I had no idea what I was doing at the time... But I kept building the list... And by the end of 2010 it had grown to nearly 38,000 people. Which was far more than I expected... But what's even crazier is the money that list started bringing in. I was used to making around $35k-$50k a year as a freelancer... But once I had my own list, I brought in a little over $210,000 in profit that first year. Which was insane. That was life changing money. I was able to move out of my shitty basement apartment, and into a nice apartment that actually had light in it. So having a list changed my life... Plus, I didn't have to put up with crappy clients anymore... So it was a big win for me. And I'm glad I got out of the freelancing game... Now maybe having your own email list like I do appeals to you... Maybe it doesn't... But if it does... Then I have something you might be interested in. It's a free mini-course I created called "List Profits". In the course I show you some simple ways to start building your list (even if no one knows who you are)... And I also show you my 3 favorite emails that you can send to your list to start making sales without being salesy or sleazy. All that is in the mini-course. I could probably charge a few hundred bucks for this... But I'm giving it to you for free as a "welcome gift" for being new to my list. So if you want to check out my "List Profits" mini course... Simply reply to this email with "I want it" and I'll send you the access link right away... - Justin    This email was sent to {EMAIL} by admin@justingoff.com 1920 E. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
