[Juno Download]( [This week's selections]( Friday 14 September 2018 [New this week]( [View all]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Orbital]( [Monsters Exist (Deluxe) ALBUM OF THE WEEK]( [ACP Recordings Ltd](Recordings+Ltd/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [The Hartnoll brothers return with their tenth studio album, having set aside their musical differences following a period of reflection. The break seems to have done them some good, because "Monsters Exist" contains some material that's every bit as beguiling and impressive as their most celebrated work. Certainly, there are hints of classic Orbital in the spellbinding electronics and enveloping gloominess of "Buried Deep Within", the ambient intergalactic symphony of "There Will Come a Time" (listen out for a guest spoken word vocal by rave's favourite scientist, Professor Brian Cox), and the title track's rapidly expanding paranoia. There are a few dancefloor-centric blasts from the past, too ("Hoo Hoo Ha Ha" and the festival-friendly bounce of "PHUK"), suggesting that the veteran twosome could be ready for a late-career revival.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Marcel Dettmann](Dettmann/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Test-File]( [Ostgut Ton Germany](Ton+Germany/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Test-File is Marcel Dettmann's first solo record in over five years. Despite the passage of time, it sees him focus again on straddling experimental sounds and more dance-floor friendly arrangements. This is especially the case on the title track, where the Berghain resident blends stepping, rickety rhythms with ghostly soundscapes. On "Ascending", he focuses on a straighter, tribal rhythm, while Dettmann's exploration of the dance floor also sees him unleash the stripped back, oddball house of "Autumn77". However, experimentation is never too far from his agenda, and the water-drop abstractions and eerie, bass groans of "Torch" provide a reminder as to why he is so revered - on and away from the dance floor.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( Various [We Like The Deep]( [Dessous Germany](Germany/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [For those who like their house deep, groovy and emotion-rich, Dessous's back catalogue is a veritable goldmine. It is rather vast, though, so it's good to see the Steve Bug-helmed imprint giving us a few pointers via this excellent compilation. Check, for example, the drowsy chords, undulating bass and jazzy drums of Thierry Tomas's "Piu Piu", the basement-bothering tech-tinged chunkiness of James Dexter's "120" and the ultra-deep late night hyonotism of Chocky's "Self-Knowledge (Dub)", where hazy and trippy synthesizer motifs ebb and flow over a locked-in groove. Further highlights come in the shape of Tom Flynn's fuzzy and far-out "Pluck" and a brilliant mid-tempo Genius of Time rub of Vincenzo's "106 Downtown" full of gentle acid lines and freaky electronic noises.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Otik]( [Top Ten EP SINGLE OF THE WEEK]( [Keysound]( [The Keysound massive make a highly anticipated return on this one as they unveil this five tracks selection from no other than Otik. We begin with the hypnotic composition of 'Top Ten', which sends trippy arpeggiators out to lead a choppy bass heavy charge. Next up the quirky sub rolls of 'True Level' followed by 'Latex' which works together some incredibly creative uses of space and reverb. Finally we have the spacey garage roller known as 'Notion'' before landing firmly on Blackdown's super techy rerun of 'Top Ten', rounding off the EP perfectly.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Samuel Kerridge](Kerridge/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [The I Is Nothing]( [Downwards]( [Kerridge's long association with Downwards continues on his first release of 2018. The I marks a shift in sound, with his trademark viscous white noise replaced with something starker and stripped back. On "Silent Notes", this manifests itself in the form of chilling strings, swinging, robotic drums and haunting atmospheric textures. "Fascination Sustain" also ploughs a chilling furrow, with the UK producer laying down a jittery rhythm that acts as a backdrop for tingling electronic tones and menacing bass. "Propagates of Desire" marks a return to the frazzled darkness of Kerridge's usual layered sound, albeit playing out against a high-paced grime back drop, while "Actuality Repeats" is an abstract affair, as he retreats back into the shadows.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Carl Finlow](Finlow/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Introspective]( [20:20 Vision](3A20+Vision/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Carl Finlow is one of the UK's greatest electronic music producers, as this compilation demonstrates. Issued on 20:20 Vision, the label he co-founded with Back 2 Basics' Ralph Lawson, it features some of his finest electro work. On the deeper tip, there's the wonderfully mournful synths of "Anomaly" and "Equilibrium", while he veers into synth pop with the irresistibly catchy hooks and nerdy vocals on "Broken Mirror". However, that's not to detract from the weight of Finlow's catalogue, and tracks like the menacing "Nanotech" or the dense electro funk of "Mr Machine"- the title track of the bench mark 2002 album he recorded under the Silicon Scally guise - put him right up there with electro's greats.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Levantine]( [Mandrill Cuts 007]( [Furious Mandrill](Mandrill/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Having recently impressed via a tidy two-tracker on the effervescent Dikso label, fast-rising producer and re-editor Levantine makes his bow on Furious Mandrill with two more party-starting treats. First up in "Wilde", a heavy but suitably swinging revision of a blue-eyed disco-funk jam bristling with jaunty horn lines, elastic bass guitar, glassy-eyed vocals and chunky, house style beats. "Body Work", meanwhile, is similarly bouncy but slightly more driving in feel, with soaring disco orchestration and high-register vocal snippets being smothered in filters while weighty beats bob along beneath. It's disco-house, Jim, but not as we know it.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Seleccion Natural](Natural/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Seleccion Natural EP]( [Polegroup]( [Seleccion Natural is the third EP to mark the milestone of Polegroup's 50th release - and it's a thrilling affair. Seleccion Natural, the techno super group comprising Oscar Mulero, Exium and Reeko, starts the release with the atmospheric broken beats of "Necton", before taking the tempo up with the dense "Prokaryotic", which is still led by hammering kicks. On "Replicant Isolation", the trio shift the focus again back to broken beats, but this time the filters are more powerful and the drums steelier. Rounding off the release is "Transmutation": different to the preceding tracks, it's underpinned by a menacing, ebm bass and firing, razor sharp percussion.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Artificial Intelligence](Intelligence/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [The Series: Season 1]( [Integral]( [Integral Records owners Artificial Intelligence launch a new series on the label, dedicated to futuristic sounds. "Degrees of Separation" is a mellow affair, with soulful vocals and atmospheric melodies unfolding over understated drums. On "Missing Piece", the pace is faster and the drums more urgent, but it also features mournful, distended vocals and soft-focus musical elements. While "Tannan" has a slightly darker edge thanks to its slivers of moody bass and tight, insistent break beats, in the main Season 1 is a deeply soulful affair - best typified by the beautiful piano lines that play out over "Street Scenes".]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Tom Demac](Demac/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) / [Real Lies](Lies/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [White Flowers]( [Kompakt Germany](Germany+/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Welshman Tom Demac makes his debut for Cologne institution Kompakt and describes it as an honour. From his early days going to Sonar and attending the original Kompakt Records beach parties back in the mid-noughties - it's always been considered a dream to release with this legendary label he's stated. Presented here is a collaboration with the band Real Lies, who Demac has been in the studio with for the last few months, producing their album. 'White Flowers' was a special nugget that came from their studio sessions together. It's a melancholic and bittersweet journey with pop-inflections, which nails the labels aesthetic just perfectly. "Felix" is just as emotive, and fuelled by some late '90s style breaks beneath its tapestry of rich pads and vibrant synths.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Aries]( [Jungle Style (Remixes)]( [Born On Road](On+Road/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Following his seismic album release earlier this year, Aries hands over the parts of three of the many LP highlights to three forefront jungle talents. First up man of the moment Bou gives "Dubplate Style" a royal ravaging with chubbier bass and more grit in the mix before Bladerunner adds his signature amen roll to the jazz-tinged "Blue" without losing any of the original's soul. Finally Lost City take the Boomah fronted "My Sound" and give it the ragamuffin slappage it never knew it needed. Serious remix fire.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Andre Lodemann](Lodemann/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [The Deeper You Go]( [Best Works](Works/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_new+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Lodemann has put out music on some of the world's finest house labels, including Freerange and Innervisions. However, for his latest album, he returns to his own imprint. Designed to be listened to at home or played in a club, Deeper moves from the techy title track and the growling bass of "Voices From The Past" into more flowing, musical expressions such as "Emptiness" and reflective, down tempo arrangements such as "Lost In Your Eyes", the folksy guitar twang of "Connected" and the wonderfully hypnotic ambience of album closer "Misty Road". You'll be hard pressed to find a more articulate expression of the deep house sound this year.]( [Deep House this week]( [View all]( [Ramjac Corporation](Corporation/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Cameroon Massif!]( [Emotional Rescue](Rescue/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [LEON & Dennis Cruz](%2526+Dennis+Cruz/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [My Hood]( [Crosstown Rebels](Rebels/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Be Svendsen](Svendsen/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Drop The Gun]( [Music For Dreams](For+Dreams/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Love Drop](Drop/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Don't Look Back]( [Home Taping Is Killing Music](Taping+Is+Killing+Music/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Leon Revol](Revol/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Realised You Shine EP]( [Apparel Music](Music/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( Various [The Move Vol 3]( [Tokyo Dawn](Dawn/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_deep+house+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Drum & Bass this week]( [View all]( [Djah]( [Galactic Agreement]( [Fokuz]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [RMS]( / [Veak]( [Foundations]( [Deep In The Jungle](In+The+Jungle/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_drum+%26+bass+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Filthy Habits](Habits/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_drum+%26+bass+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [The VIP Lounge EP]( [G13]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Villem]( / [McLeod]( [Playing The Changes]( [Spearhead]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( Various [The Xtraordinary League Of Junglists 2 (Level 1)]( [Ruffneck Ting](Ting/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_drum+%26+bass+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Phat Playaz](Playaz/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-09-10&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_drum+%26+bass+this+week&utm_campaign=feat_email_all_jd) [The Colabs LP -
