Click [here]( to view in a browser [Juno Download]( [This week's dubstep selections]( Friday 6 July 2018 [Dubstep Junodownload Picks]( [View all]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [D-Operation Drop](Drop/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Ghori/Natty Coil]( [Scrub A dub](A+dub/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [The D stands for deadly... Italian crew D-Operation Drop strike black gold once again with these two bonafide stinkers on Scotch Bonnet-own Scrub A Dub series. A true feast of low end naughty; "Ghori" is the meaty main course, all chewy and full of strong flavours. "Natty Coil" is the pudding; all iced and seemingly chill but packing a sharp bite. Grubs up at Scrub A Dub mate.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Author]( [Forward Forever]( [Navy Cut](Cut/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Finally! Jack Sparrow and Dom Ruckspin's second Author album gets the digital justice it's deserved for nigh on five years. Previously released on the now defunct Black Box, Sparrow has reissued it on his own Navy Cut imprint and it still sounds as arresting, entrancing and immersive as it did when first released in 2013. From the opening piano shimmers of "After Time" right through to Rider Shafique's final tones of wisdom on "Keep Moving", the whole album lives in its own lane with its own pace and restrained sense of time. Whether you were on this back in the hurly burly dubstep hype of 2013 or this is fresh future feels for your soul, few dubstep albums hit the spot musically, texturally or as thoughtfully as this album. Essential.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Ourman]( [Discrete EP]( [Instigate Recordings](Recordings/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Allez les subs: rising French deepsmith Ourman makes his debut on Instigate with four smouldering dungeon damagers. "Discrete" sets the tone with its swaggering groove, cavernous dubspace and melting, liquid-like textures. "Wiggle Room" isn't just a cute title... It's actually a snake personified in a sub-stacked 140 roller, twisting and turning with menace. "Intervals" adds a little springy funk to proceedings thanks to a tight weave of shimmering chords and a bounce bass/kick combo forging the path ahead and finally "Friction" burns up the dance with the sludgiest bassline on the EP. Pure swamp business, there's nothing discrete about these sounds at all. Don't sleep.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Noclu]( [DUPLOC024]( [DUPLOC]( [The gang at Duploc are at it again as they team up with Noclu for an earth shattering two track bonanza. On the A-side we hear 'Poseidon', a monstrous composition consisting of tremendously powerful subs, expansive delays and sharp tripletred dubwise drumwork. On the flip, the darkened atmosphere grows on 'Sirens', which employs marching kick drums and sharp horns, making this one a must have for the dance!]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Khiva]( [Fresh Cut Love]( [Deep Dark & Dangerous](Dark+%2526+Dangerous/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [For an artist who debuted on Deep Dark & Dangerous with an EP called "In The Quiet", Khiva is certainly making all the right noises. Taking off where she left us last year, it's another hard hitting document but overriding message is one of love... "Fresh Cut Love" hits with all the bewildering dizziness of a raw emotional encounter; savage, forthright and deliciously confusing. "Aphrodite", meanwhile, is a stirring homage to the number one end boss of love himself. All plucks and harps and mysticism, once again it captures a feeling and energy that's as old as time itself. Feel the love.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Tony Rocky Horror](Rocky+Horror/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Killing Pace - EP]( [Macabre Unit Digital](Unit+Digital/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Fresh from his exploits on Keep Deep and Biscuit Factory, Seattle's Tony Rocky Horror crash lands into Nurve's Macabre Unit Digital with serious four bone-rattlers. "Killing Pace" sets the tone with its swampy, sludgy bass weight relentless pushing and pushing the dance. Dig deeper for the spooked out extended graveyard break on the mechanoid drum slugger "Rathole", the tightly coiled spring funk and rubber ball bass of "Rounders" and the airier pad-surfing dream roller finale "Clawback". Don't kill people; kill your pace.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [L Nix & Nourma](Nix+%2526+Nourma/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [From The Ashes]( EXCLUSIVE [Iron Shirt Recordings](Shirt+Recordings/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Iron Shirt are fast becoming one of the most consistent labels for dubstep albums right now. Hot on the heels of their last V/A compilation, and before that Wreckage's LP, comes this highly anticipated deep dub exploration from Canada's L Nix and Ukraine's Nourma. Featuring rubs from some of the label's closest confidants; Tallan & Clause, Steven Lorenz and Frenk Dublin, From The Ashes is a powerful trip that fires into the deepest of space without so much as a stub of a return ticket. Cavernous, unashamedly bleak and introspective, highlights include the Saharan twangs and ice pads of "Demon Slayer", the cinematic drama and stark aquatic poignancy of "Rainstorm", the stadium toms and wry gun load prang f "Sniper" and the minimal growl and shimmering synths of the brilliantly titled "Tumultuous". From the ashes we all rise... Expect some serious sub turbulence en route.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Drone]( [Sapphire]( [Sector 7 Sounds](7+Sounds/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [No droning or moaning about this one. Boofy & Lemzly Dale's Sector 7 unleash these overwhelmingly forthright and innovative thumpers from fellow Bristol badman Drone and the world is a better place for them. "Sapphire" is genuinely unique with its harmonised percussion panel beating a riff deep into your psyche while the spooked out arpeggiated 23rd century horror film OST "Been This Way" looks out from within your psyche to a panel beaten world where hope and resources are as rare as a duff Sector 7 release. Powerful and wildly forward-thinking.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Maes & Ohyra](%2526+Ohyra/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Scabs]( EXCLUSIVE [Dubstep Rotterdam](Rotterdam/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Manchester's Maes and Stockholm's Ohyra take a trip to the Netherlands for the precision one-tracker that is "Scabs". Dubstep Rotterdam sure know how to pick 'em: "Scabs" is a bleak sci-fi step into the scorched future with marching kicks, weeping chords and turbine bass powered by mankind's innermost fears. Let's hope this isn't a one-off collaboration.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( Various [Fractal Forest: 2018 Compilation]( [Westwood Recordings](Recordings/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [One of Shambhala's most revered and friendliest neighbourhoods Fractal Forest celebrate 20 years of leftcentric bassline hurly burly with another resplendent all-star cast compilation. Ranging from the snake-like sleazing and horn melting funk of Opiou's "Ginger Lizard" and the organ melting sassiness of Neighbour's "Summertime Girls" to outright Krafty Kuts classics ("We Do This") and zippy bumpers from the Stanton Warriors ("Walking") via powerful full fat funk such as Gramatik's "Future Crypto" and A Skillz almighty brass band blazing classic "Dead Ringer", this whole collection represents one of North America's wildest, warmest and vibiest parties. Here's to another 20 years of Fractal fire.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [B1t Crunch3r & Section 8](Crunch3r+%2526+Section+8/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Woke/Tiamat]( [Gradient Audio](Audio/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Gradient Audio return to their release schedule with a pair of serious heaters as they bring in the services of B1t Crunch3r and Section 8 for some demonic dubstep delight. We kick off on Section 8's 'Woke', a devilish composition, jam packed with heavyweight sub pressure and a tonne of growling reeses, making for a pleasing composition indeed. On the flip B1T Crunch3r comes through for a more specially textured design in 'Tiamat', driven by pulsating percussive patterns and roaring bass synth design. Dubstep is alive and well and if anything, in a more creative place than ever before!]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Wevaman & Unknown Order](%2526+Unknown+Order/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Dreadlock/Smoking Dub]( [Styx Recordings](Recordings/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [When we saw that the dubwise sounds of Wevaman and Unknown Order were teaming up on the Styx Recordings imprint, we were overrun with excitement, eager to get stuck into what the team up had conjured. It's safe to say they did not disappoint as we get into a vibrant A-side in 'Dreadlock' which channels dubby subs and classic reggae samples, resulting in a warm piece of dub music. On the flip side we have the more evil arrangement of 'Smoking Dub', a track with a dub structure. focussed potent melodics, widened horns and spacious FX. This is a great two tracker to say the least!]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Prismatic]( [Mad Famous]( [Firepower]( [The Firepower imprint marches on victorious here as they employ the incredibly energetic production styles of Prismatic for a four track madness! We begin with the title track 'Mad Famous', which is a riddim extravaganza, focussing it's power into incredibly punchy kick snare combos and disgustingly delightful synthesis. We then move into the vocal-like bass sounds of 'Wormhole' before drifting into the dub-infused arrangements and chord progressions of 'Badman'. We then finish the EP up with a high profile collaboration alongside Tetrix Bass, as the pair run riot with drilling synthesizers and explosive sound design.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [MantisMash]( [Omnipresent]( [Shanti Planti](Planti/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [As ever with the Shanti Planti catalogue, prepare yourself for something truly unique as Mantismash steps forward for his full length 'Omnipresent' LP, encompassing a vast array of styles, forged together with impeccable production prowess. As an extended project, it really takes you everywhere, from the luscious soundscaping and textures on 'Ocean Of Clouds' to the wavy synth design and percussive perfection of 'A Star Behind The Sun'. Things also get weird on 'Midicina' as a shed load of glitchy percussive pips and pops run riot alongside breathy atmospherics. Other highlights include the unpredictable oscillations and chord movements on 'The Observer' and the spliced disco vibes of 'Real Eyes'. A fantastic project and one we highly recommend getting your teeth stuck into.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( Various [Barong Family: Shanghai Nights Part 1]( [Barong Family](Family/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Well the Barong Family have certainly blessed us this time, as they employ the services of the full collective for a journey around EDM in the first edition of their new 'Shanghai Nights' release series. With the likes of Wiwek, Moski, Yellow Claw and Menasa all playing lead roles, this selection was always going to cause damage. For us, the clear stand recordings have to include Cesqeaux and Tsunano's incredible future bass collaboration, jam packed with explosive melodies and incredibly sharp production, along with Yellow Claw & DOLF's epicly designed 'Moonlight', featuring an astonishing vocal performance from Lexie Liu. A fantastic selection, one you will certainly hear snippets from in the big room events around the globe!]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Theno]( [Slipstream EP]( [Adapted]( [Adapted welcome brand new beatsplicer Theno to the fold and he's come packing some absolute fire. Glitchy, switchy and loaded with surprises and twists and turns. All running with a gritty electro guitar feel, "Fallout" is all about the sudden stop/start neckbreak riddim, "Small Hours" is all about the big riff and riotous second drop while "Resistance" flexes a little more of a soulful vocal hook before the EP title track brings home the gully bacon with jittering musical elements, sudden beat flurries and some devilishly trippy vocal textures. An interesting debut single, get in the know about Theno.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Cam Lasky](Lasky/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Occulted City Vol 14/Shinonome]( [Kwaioto]( [We are blessed here with some serious stepper flavour as Cam Lasky steps up on Kwaioto for his Shinonome project. We are gifted two absolutely storming originals and a fantastic remix to celebrate the 14th edition of Occulted City. Kicking off with 'Assassin Ogress', a swampy ode to galvanizing sub weight and crunchy percussive movements. This leads perfectly into 'Dark Katana' which utilizes aggressive orchestral drum rolls intertwined with choppy bass synths, eerie atmospherics and growling reeses to create some serious tension. On remix duty, Babie GION steps up with his spacey 'Geisha Calm' revamp of 'Assassin Ogress', rounding off an impressive project with real finesse.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Grawinkel]( [Ping Pong]( [Southside Dubstar UK](Dubstar+UK/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [German murker Grawinkel steps over from Subline with his debut EP for Southside Dubstar. Four tracks heavy, the results speak for themselves... "Ping Pong" pangs with a 2007 era Dub Police style bassline, "Staile" is a mean and pensive 2am graveyard creeper while "Cap" conjures up a little trippy vocal mangling magic. Finally "Catz" closes the show with a strong bounce theme to both the well tuned drums and the springy, fizzy bassline textures. Feline this! (not sorry)]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [KVPV]( [Soho EP]( [Nuit Blanche](Blanche/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Not to be confused with the future house producer of the same name, little is known of this KVPV... For now. If he carries on casting spellbinding cosmic dub whirlwinds like this, he won't be anonymous for too long. "Soho" takes into the heart of London several thousand years down the line where all you can see is sands. Arid, lonesome and beguiling, it sucks you in and refuses to let you go. "Vosk" takes a more direct route with its rolling machine funk two-step and progressive, thrusting pads that give you the feeling there's going to be light at the end of the tunnel. Sense-arresting.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Soner One](One/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Fly On The Wall]( [Illusion Cartel](Cartel/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_dubstep+junodownload+pick&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [The ghost warrior returns to Illusion Cartel with another behemoth bundle. Kicking off with the iconic trembling piano sample on the title track, it's another deep dive into all corners of Soner's psyche. Elsewhere our hearts are melted by the harmonic vocal chops and smouldering feels of "Fall In Love", we're squeezed and teased by the squelching bass and soulful vocals of "Protest", we're darked out by the graveyard groove of "Evolve" before the final twinkles and smoky horns of finale "Final Fantasy" bid us adieu. Another level.]( [Listen]( [Wishlist]( [Buy]( [Spryk]( [Strange Movements]( [Skip-A-Beat]( [Mumbai representing: hotly-tipped Spryk comes correct with his debut album Strange Movements on his brand new label Skip A Beat and it's a deliciously wonky state of low end affairs. Ranging from the dank distorted sleaze of 23rd century b-boy anthem "Inward Lake" to the techno-like rhythmic insistency of "Rewire The Circuit" via the melted horns and uncut jazzy wooze of "Theeya", his precision balance of musicality and raw filth gives this a real album feel while almost all cuts will absolutely slay the dancefloor too. Far out but full of fire, don't be a stranger.]( [Also new]( [View all]( [Opus]( [Methodist]( [White Peach](Peach/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Listen]( [Buy]( [Ramsez]( [Follow Me]( [Version Collective](Collective/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Listen]( [Buy]( [Quasar]( [Untitled EP]( [Indigo Movement](Movement/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Listen]( [Buy]( [Darkraqqen]( [Blvck Mvgic]( [Locus Sound](Sound/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Listen]( [Buy]( [Dion Timmer](Timmer/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Textacy (Remixes)]( [Rottun Canada](Canada/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Listen]( [Buy]( [5ohman]( [The Highest]( [Bewildered Productions](Productions/?utm_source=feat_email&utm_medium=feat_email_18-07-02&utm_term=feat_email_all_none&utm_content=feat_email_also+new&utm_campaign=feat_email_dubstep_jd) [Listen]( [Buy]( [Stagga](
