Good news and bad news, both require action

Even as our campaign gains critical momentum in the final week before Election Day, we’re reminded once again by the Supreme Court exactly how important it is to have a leader as New York Governor. Last year, the US saw more gun deaths than any other year in our history. The Supreme Court’s answer to this crisis is to make it easier to conceal and carry a gun. To bring more hidden weapons to our streets, subways, and schools all under the guise of safety and self defense, the Supreme Court places our country's demonic obsession with guns ahead of the over 40,000 lives that will be lost to gun violence in our country this year. It is irresponsible, illogical, and immoral. NY already has way too many guns on our streets. We need clear and immediate action from Albany, starting with the $1 billion investment we’ve called for to help address daily street violence.
