It’s time to invest in the workers who power this state {NAME}, This International Workers Day

It’s time to invest in the workers who power this state [Jumaane for Governor of New York](#) {NAME}, This International Workers Day we’re showing our gratitude and support for the working people who are the backbone of our society, a backbone that those in power often try to break for their own gain. Whether you’re a farmworker or a factory worker, a software engineer or a secretary, an artist or an accountant, you deserve to feel safe at your job, confident in your career, and fairly compensated by your paycheck. As governor and lieutenant governor, we will fight for a living wage for all workers, your right to organize a union, and strong workplace protections regardless of the work you do. Whether it’s at Amazon warehouses or Starbucks coffee shops, we’re seeing a new revolution of workers coming together and organizing for better pay and working conditions. Working class New Yorkers deserve a Governor and Lt. Governor who will fight for them and put their interests ahead of big donors and billionaires. That’s why today, we’re releasing a plan for how the Williams/Archila administration will create a working people’s economy for New York by: - Raising taxes on the highest incomes, extreme wealth, and big corporations to invest billions in new revenue for working people. - Increasing the minimum wage for all workers, establishing fair pay for home healthcare workers, and closing the wage loophole that leaves tipped workers in poverty. - Supporting NY’s independent, family, and small businesses that are the backbone of our economy and expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit. - Supporting the rights of workers to organize and protect gig economy workers. [We’re running to improve living conditions for working people all across this state. If you believe that working people deserve to live with dignity and get paid their fair share, sign onto our platform today!]( We can recover and rebuild our schools and subways, support struggling small businesses, and protect immigrants, renters, and students. We can create a New York where everyone earns a living wage, and can afford quality healthcare, housing, and the services we need to live a life with dignity. But we can only do this if we come together. [SIGN THE PETITION: It’s time to transform our economy to one that works for ALL New Yorkers!]( With you in this fight, -Jumaane and Ana María Paid for by PAID FOR BY JUMAANE FOR NEW YORK P.O.
