Jim Nantz Owns TV From March-April Hey , Tomorrow the most historic event on the PGA Tour, The Masters, tees off in what should be another exciting edition.  The typical storylines are there – how will Tiger Woods do, can Rory Mcllroy finally win his first Masters, which long shot can come out of nowhere for a surprise run at the Green Jacket?  I will be interested to see if Mcllroy can finally win, he has been so successful in his career, and getting the Green Jacket would be the ultimate addition to his prized collection. Currently he is listed as one of the favorites at 7/1 to win.  Meanwhile Tiger Woods has come out and said that he does not have many Masters left in him. His injury history plus his age are not a great combination to have, even for someone as great as Tiger. Him winning The Masters in 2019 was one of the greatest moments in sports history. After years of wear and tear, comebacks and setbacks, Woods finally got over the hump to win another major. It does not seem likely he will be able to pull that off this year, he is currently listed at 66/1.  Elsewhere Phil Mickelson makes his return to Augusta after missing last years tournament. He was at the forefront of the LIV movement, the breakaway golf league, which has dominated headlines. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact, if any, LIV vs PGA will have at this years tournament. Currently there are 18 players at The Masters who are apart of LIV so there will be plenty of LIV participation.  In terms of an outright winner I do not follow the sport closely enough to have a good feel. I will be rooting for Rory because it feels like it’s time he finally won this tournament, and I do hope Tiger can at least make the cut.  Let me know who you think will be the standout performer of this years tournament!
