Two Games to Keep Your Eyes on Tonight! Hey , It is Friday night in the Association, and I am focusing on two games today – Sacramento Kings vs Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns. After going 1-1 yesterday I am hoping to go 2-0 today... Be sure to read all the way through to see my wager idea for these two games!   Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns  The Suns have been lethal when Kevin Durant has played for them. With Durant on the floor, the Suns are a perfect 4-0. Obviously a small sample, but he has made the Suns better and I look for the winning run to continue tonight. The combination of Durant and Devin Booker is difficult for any team to stop, especially a mediocre Nuggets defense. Meanwhile, Denver may or may not get Nikola Jokic back after he missed last night’s game (a loss to the Pelicans at home), but they will likely be without Jamal Murray. Losing Murray means the Nuggets lose a premium offensive threat in a game they will need to score points. Adding insult to injury is that Denver must play this game on the road, on the second night of a back-to-back. Obviously less than ideal for the Nuggets, which is why I will take the Suns to win.   Sacramento Kings vs Portland Trail Blazers  In the Portland game it is obvious that the Trail Blazers are tanking for a better draft pick. Portland has lost 10 of 11 games which includes back-to-back 30-point losses, and they have shut Damian Lillard down for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, the Kings have clinched their first playoff spot in 16 years! Sacramento is likely locked in to the 3 seed in the Western Conference which means they don’t have a ton to play for the rest of the season (and therefore tonight). What the Kings do have is a healthy starting lineup which has been among the best in the league this year. With no Kings injury concerns heading into tonight’s game, and the Trail Blazers willingness to lose, I expect Sacramento to win comfortably.  As far as wagering, a two-game tease is something one could consider. Currently the Suns are -10 and the Kings are -14 (both spreads have been rising throughout the day, so early action is on the Suns and Kings). I like combining the two and making a 6-point teaser. This would bring the spreads down to Suns -4 and Kings -8. I feel confident the Suns will cover the 4 points given how good the Suns have been plus the Nuggets are without Jamal Murray. Then you would be rooting for the Kings to curb stomp the Blazers which as mentioned above seems likely. Do be aware that this is just my gut prediction and not a system pick. I wish you good luck!
