E-Commerce GMV Set To Surge 23% To $12 Billion In 2024 Festival Season: Report Indian e-commerce is expected to reach $12 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV) during the festival season from October to December 2024, reflecting a 23 per cent increase from the previous year, according to a report by logistics firm Shiprocket. In the same period in 2023, GMV was $9.7 billion. This growth is fueled by rising consumer demand in sectors such as fashion, electronics, beauty, and personal care, along with a significant boost from quick commerce, which is projected to contribute $1 billion to GMV, states the report.
