More than a thousand people were cruelly murdered, many of them women and children. The ongoing consequences also include an armed conflict in the Middle East and a dramatic wave of antisemitic crimes in Western countries. Therefore, The Jerusalem Post and the leading German newspaper, Die Welt, will host Joint Perspectives: A German-Israeli Summit on Antisemitism and War in Israel on February 14, 2024 in Berlin, where current developments in and around the Middle East conflict will be discussed with members of the governments of Israel and Germany, experts and politicians. Die Welt is a member of the Axel Springer family. • How can Israel and its partners overcome the crisis together? • What measures can politicians in Germany and Europe take to counter the growing antisemitism? • And what urgent humanitarian challenges require international support in the affected areas? We want to discuss these and other questions critically and constructively and send a signal against the attack on Israel and growing antisemitism.
