Emergency CASH, food, children's items and supplies are being distributed 24/7, directly to bereaved and wounded families all over the country. Friday, OneFamily U.S. and Canada wired every penny raised so far in this gut-wrenching campaign, to Israel. Our campaign continues. The community response has been a light in these darkest of times. From the bottom of our broken hearts, we thank you. In one day, the OneFamily roster of people we help more than doubled. And this is far from over. Follow our campaign [here]( [DONATE to EMERGENCY CAMPAIGN]( MURDERED On Friday night, 8-year-old Emily Hand went to sleep over with a friend. We don't know if she woke up or not, as the next morning, she was murdered by terrorists who broke into the Kibbutz Be'eri. Her father, Thomas, shared how relieved he was when he learned she was murdered: "Death was a blessing" as it meant she wasn't held hostage. Our hearts break for the Hand family. How does OneFamily help? The moment we learn of an attack, a OneFamily Caseworker contacts the family. Our Caseworkers methodically assess each member of the famliy's situation and determine the family's immediate needs, whether urgent financial aid, accommodations, childcare, food supplies, transportation to and from hospitals, and much, much more. We help all victims of terror apply for the government benefits to which they are entitled, from the moment they are declared terror survivors -- a complicated, cold, bureaucratic but necessary process that trauma survivors in shock cannot navigate. Later, as the trauma deepens, we provide rehabilitation, therapy and support. But last week changed everything Tragically, we no longer have the luxury of meeting with every family to address their individual needs. Many thousands of families now need immediate support. How is the money we are raising being spent? At breakneck speed, OneFamily is scaling up the services and support we have offered for 22 years. Your donation is put to work the moment it arrives in Israel. Your donations last week helped us hire more Caseworkers and deploy and expand our army of volunteers. The logistics are very complex. MISSING Where do we go from here? Soon, we will have serious challenges integrating thousands of new clients into our routine trauma programs, and our suddenly, significantly undersized facilities. But we will. Only with your help, will we figure this out together. NOBODY in the State of Israel is unaffected. Today we mourn three of our very own OneFamily workers.
